Cadwalader Represents ABN AMRO in Connection with Recapitalization of Eagle Bulk Shipping

Cadwalader represented ABN AMRO Capital USA LLC, as agent for a syndicate of first-lien bank lenders, in connection with the comprehensive balance sheet recapitalization of Eagle Bulk Shipping, Inc., a leading global owner of Supramax dry bulk vessels that range primarily in size from 50,000 to 60,000 deadweight tons and transport a broad range of major and minor bulk cargoes, including coal, grain, ore, petcoke, cement, steel and fertilizer, along worldwide shipping routes.

White & Case Advises Banks on Ninth BTP Italia Bond Issue

White & Case LLP has advised Banca IMI and UniCredit, as dealers, and Banca Akros and Banca Sella Holding as co-dealers, on the issuance by the Republic of Italy of approximately €8 billion nine-year BTP Italia bonds that are linked to Italian inflation.

The offering was carried out over two separate periods. The first was targeted at retail investors and the second focused on institutional investors.

The White & Case team which advised on the transaction was led by partner Paola Leocani with support from associate Pietro Magnaghi.

Shearman & Sterling Advises Consortium of Lenders on Qatar’s Facility D Independent Water and Power Project

Shearman & Sterling advised a consortium of international and local banks as lenders to the $3 billion Facility D Independent Water and Power project in Qatar.  The project involves the construction of a 2,520 MW gas-fired power plant and a 136.5 million gallons per day associated desalination plant near the Qatar Economic Zone, south of Doha. Once operational in 2018, it is expected to be one of the largest power and water facilities in the Middle East.  The project reached financial close on 11th April 2016.

Milbank Advises Entertainment One Ltd. in its First High-Yield Notes Offering and £100 Million Revolving Credit Facility

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP recently advised Entertainment One Ltd. (“eOne”) on its offering of £285 million 6.875% senior secured notes due 2022 (the “Notes”) and a new £100 million revolving credit facility (the “RCF”) due 2020.

The successful issuance of the Notes, despite difficult market conditions, particularly in sterling-denominated notes, and the RCF has strengthened eOne’s financial position and extended its debt maturities to 2020 and beyond.

Debevoise Advises Park Square Capital as it Raises €1.2 billion for Third Subordinated Debt Fund

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised Park Square Capital Partners (“Park Square”), one of Europe’s leading independent credit providers, in the successful final close of Park Square Capital Partners III (“PSCP III” or the “Fund”) at €1.2 billion of investor commitments.

PSCP III closed significantly above its initial target of €1.0 billion, and is also substantially larger than its predecessor Park Square Capital Partners II, a 2010 vintage fund, which closed at €850.

Osborne Clarke has advised FFG FINANZCHECK Finanzportale GmbH on the closing of a financing round. Founded in 2010, the Hamburg-based start-up has already received two investments at the beginning of 2015: one eight-figure investment and one seven-figure investment. In addition to its B2C credit place, the company offers white label and technology solutions in financial services for brokers and banks.
