LocalTapiola Group: Investment in a Major Shopping Centre Project in Jyväskylä

We advised companies belonging to the Local Tapiola Group in their EUR 70 million investment in the construction of the Seppä shopping centre in Jyväskylä. The shopping centre will be developed by Skanska Talonrakennus Oy for a contract value of approximately EUR 57 million. The shopping centre will be constructed in conjunction with the Prisma Centre in Jyväskylä and is expected to be completed in September 2017.

Stephenson Harwood advises Circle Holdings on 'first of a kind' China medical project

Kester Capital sells Garrets International

Travers Smith LLP has advised longstanding client Kester Capital LLP ("Kester") and other selling shareholders on the sale of Garrets International ("Garrets") to Wrist Ship Supply, the world's leading ship and offshore supplier.

Garrets is a market leader in outsourced marine catering management for the commercial shipping industry, managing approximately 1000 vessels on behalf of some of the largest names in world shipping.

Linklaters advises FMS Wertmanagement in relation to the repurchase of DEPFA bonds

Linklaters provided advice to FMS Wertmanagement, a winding-up agency owned by the German government, in connection with making a public tender offer to repurchase bonds of the Irish DEPFA Group. Such offer includes bonds in a total nominal volume of €3.3 billions, which are denominated in euros, Swiss francs, U.S. dollars and Canadian dollars. The maturity dates of the relevant bonds fall within the period from October 2017 to March 2037.

eircom Finance DAC Completes €500 Million Senior Secured Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher represented eircom Finance DAC, an affiliate of eircom Holdings (Ireland) Limited (“eircom”), in connection with a Rule 144A and Regulation S offering of €500 million in aggregate principal amount of its Senior Secured Notes due 2022. The transaction closed on June 17, 2016. eircom has used the net proceeds from this offering to redeem in full its outstanding notes and prepay its outstanding term loan B2 facility.

CMS advises EBRD on municipal/infrastructure projects in Lviv and Chernivtsi

CMS Cameron McKenna in Kyiv has advised the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on two financing projects in Lviv and Chernivtsi aimed at developing and renewing the critical fast tram system and district heating utilities in the cities.

Two loans of EUR 6 million and EUR 10 million have been provided to Lviv and Chernivtsi communal enterprises subject to the issuance of city council guarantees.

WFW advise ABN AMRO on US$200m loan facility to Aurora LPG for four vessels

Watson Farley & Williams LLP (“WFW”) successfully advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in relation to a US$200 million loan facility to be made available to Aurora LPG to finance four CBM 84,000 VLGCs under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries.  The loan facility was signed on 20 January 2016.  Mandated lead arrangers were ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and The Export-Import Bank of Korea.

London-based partner, Michael O’Donnell led on this facility assisted by senior associate, Gary Walsh. Simonsen Vogt Wiig provided the Norwegian law assistance.

A London aviation finance team has completed the second DVB Airbus A320neo PDP financing. The team advised DVB Bank SE, London branch, on the second financing of pre-delivery payments (PDPs) due from Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) to Airbus in respect of five new A320neo aircraft being constructed under SAS' purchase agreement.
