Ashurst advises banks on IPO of apparel company Steilmann in the Prime Standard

Ashurst advised the bank consortium comprising ODDO SEYDLER BANK AG (ODDO SEYDLER) and Banca IMI on the initial public offering (IPO) of Steilmann SE, one of the largest apparel companies in Germany, in the regulated market (Prime Standard) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. ODDO SEYDLER acted as Global Coordinator and, together with Banca IMI, as Joint Bookrunners.

Slaughter and May is advising Glitnir hf. - proposed composition

Slaughter and May is advising the Winding-up Board of Glitnir hf. on a proposed composition with its creditors (the Composition).

Glitnir hf. (Glitnir) was one of the three major Icelandic banks which were brought under the control of the Icelandic government in October 2008 following their collapse in the global financial crisis. The total claims against the Glitnir estate amount to more than ISK 2,250 billion. The Winding-up Board was appointed in May 2009 to conduct the winding-up proceedings. Slaughter and May was engaged in 2011.

Hogan Lovells has acted as legal adviser to Rothschild on the sale of FALG to challenger bank, Paragon, for the sum of approximately of £117m. FALG specialises in print, broadcast, construction equipment leasing and finance, and leases vehicles to local authorities.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by Head of Private Equity Tom Whelan assisted by private equity partner Amit Nayyar, with associates Fraser Galloway and Dermot O Riordan supporting.

World record-breaking loan raised in largest-ever UK M&A transaction, despite increased banking regulation

Allen & Overy has played a pivotal role in the takeover bid by Anheuser-Busch InBev of SAB Miller plc, which formally launched today.

The bid is supported by a USD75 billion loan facility provided by ABInBev's core relationship banks. Across its London, Brussels, Luxembourg and New York offices, Allen & Overy advised the lenders, including Banco Santander, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Barclays, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank.

Clifford Chance advises on SNS Bank's successful EUR 500 million Tier 2 debt issue

Clifford Chance has advised on SNS Bank's first Tier 2 debt issue since its nationalisation in February 2013. On 29 October 2015, SNS Bank successfully placed EUR 500 million subordinated (Tier 2) notes with a wide range of institutional investors. The transaction marks the convincing return of SNS Bank to the capital markets.

Davis Polk advised the joint lead managers in connection with the Rule 144A/Regulation S offering by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan of $500 million principal amount of its 6.125% notes due 2026.

White & Case Advises on a Major Abu Dhabi Real Estate Development Financing

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank as the Mandated Lead Arrangers on the UAE Dirhams 600 million (US$165 million) Islamic financing of the final phase of the development of Horizon Towers, a mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi.

The 144-acre residential and retail project in City of Lights, Al Reem Island, is being developed by the Tamouh Investments Group and Al Reem Island and will be home to around 27,000 residents when complete in 2017.
