Clifford Chance advises Allianz Real Estate on the acquisition of an office complex in Berlin

Clifford Chance has advised Allianz Real Estate on its acquisition of the "Eight Floors" office complex in Berlin on behalf of several companies of the Allianz group. The vendors are Patron Capital Partners, London, and Suprema Invest GmbH, Berlin. Allianz was able to secure ownership of the property for approximately EUR 175 million as part of a forward deal arrangement. Closing is scheduled for 2018 once extension and refurbishment of the building has been completed.

Romania: Schoenherr advises IULIUS Group and Atterbury Europe on joint venture for real estate development

Schoenherr advised IULIUS Group ("IULIUS"), the developer and operator of the IULIUS network of shopping malls, and property investor Atterbury Europe B.V. ("Atterbury Europe") on the establishment of a joint financial fund with equal participation shares for the operation of four malls, the mixed-use urban regeneration project Openville Timisoara, and the future development of similar projects in Romania.

Mayer Brown advises Emperor International Holdings on purchase of Ampersand building for approximately £260 million

London — Mayer Brown has advised Emperor International Holdings, an investment holding company based in Hong Kong, on the purchase and financing of the Ampersand building in London for approximately £260 million.

The 90,999 sq ft property, comprising retail space, office premises and leasehold apartments over eight floors, has three street frontages located at 111-125 Oxford Street, 178 Wardour Street and 15 Hollen Street.

Rikshem divests half of Folkhem Trä to Veidekke Bostad

Veidekke Bostad becomes partner in Folkhem Trä when Rikshem sells half of the wholly owned company. Rikshem and Veidekke Bostad already have a well-established cooperation regarding the development of condominiums. The collaboration is now further strengthened with expanded focus on wooden houses. Folkhem Trä will continue its work on developing wooden houses and Folkhem Produktion will continue to focus on concept development and landmark acquisition.

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Lemminkäinen Corporation in the combination of Lemminkäinen Corporation and YIT Corporation through a statutory merger.  The combination is a strategically important leap to create a platform to grow to one of the leading urban developers in the Northern European construction market. The preliminary combined annual revenue of the combined company is approximately EUR 3.4 billion. The combined company will have approximately 10,000 employees located in 11 different countries.

Clifford Chance advises Züblin Immobilien Holding AG on the sale of its German real property portfolio

Clifford Chance advised Swiss Züblin Immobilien Holding AG on the sale of its German real estate portfolio consisting of twelve office buildings to CLS Luxembourg S.à r.l. The purchase price amounts to approx. EUR 152,2 million.

The office buildings are located in Hamburg, Stuttgart, Munich's suburb Germering, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Wiesbaden, Marl and Witten. The properties generate annual rent totalling approx. EUR 10 million.

Ashurst advises Astaldi on the sale of Metro 5

Ashurst advised Astaldi S.p.A. on the sale of 36.7 per cent stake in M5, the operator of Milan's metro line 5, to Ferrovie dello Stato, the Italian state-controlled railway company. Metro line 5 is the most recent and advanced, and fully automated metro line in Italy.

The Ashurst team was led by Milan-based partner Franco Vigliano, assisted by counsels Annamaria Pinzuti, Elena Giuffrè and Fabio Balza, together with senior associate Federica Periale and associate Rosario Morasca.
