Gernandt & Danielsson advises in Byggmästare Anders J Ahlström Fastighets’ bond issue

The real estate company Byggmästare Anders J Ahlström Fastighets AB (publ) has resolved to issue corporate bonds amounting to SEK 250 million. The bonds are issued within a framework amount of SEK 500 million. The company has undertaken to list the bonds on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Gernandt & Danielsson has advised the company and its financial advisor Carnegie Investment Bank AB (publ) with a team consisting of Partner Mikael Borg, Senior Associate Adrian Della Morte Pålstam and Associate Katarina Odelberg.

Fieldfisher fights off application for judicial review of construction industry levy

European law firm Fieldfisher has successfully fought off an application for judicial review of new legislation that requires construction industry employers to pay an annual levy.

Dentons assists Kier Property in securing permission for Reading Gateway scheme

London—Dentons has assisted Kier Property in securing consent for the Reading Gateway scheme. Reading Borough Council granted permission for the redevelopment of the former Hewlett Packard site at Worton Grange in April 2016.

Dentons assisted Kier in securing consent for the scheme – which will deliver 175 homes, a hotel and light industrial, trade counter space with an end value of circa £75 million – alongside Savills.

Zoopla acquires Property Software Group for £75m

Travers Smith LLP has advised existing client Zoopla Property Group Plc, the digital media and lead generation platform that owns and operates some of the UK's leading online consumer brands including Zoopla, uSwitch and PrimeLocation, on the acquisition of Property Software Group (PSG) from LDC and certain management sellers for up to £75m.

Established in 2007, PSG is the UK's market-leading provider of software solutions to property professionals, used in over 8,000 agency branches.

Vinge has advised D. Carnegie & Co AB (publ) (”D. Carnegie”), listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, in connection with the company’s directed cash share issue of 6,539,900 Class B shares at a subscription price of SEK 72.50 per share, raising proceeds of approximately SEK 474,000,000 before transaction costs. The subscription price was determined through an accelerated book-building process. Subscribers in the share issue were approximately 60 Swedish and international institutional investors.

Shoosmiths advises AEW Europe on landmark anchor letting at Festival Place, Basingstoke

Shoosmiths has advised AEW Europe (AEW) on a new landmark letting of an anchor store to existing tenant Next at Basingstoke's Festival Place shopping centre.

Next is increasing the size of its presence at Festival Place by relocating within the centre to a brand new two-floor store, almost doubling its floor space to c. 48,000 sq ft. The new store, which is expected to open in Q4 2016, will enable the brand to better showcase its extensive fashion, kidswear and Next Home ranges, and will also include a café within the store.

Hengeler Mueller advises EPH on acquisition of lignite operations from Vattenfall

Vattenfall has today signed an agreement to sell Vattenfall’s lignite operations to the Czech energy company EPH with its financial partner PPF Investments. Within the
transaction, EPH Group together with PPF Investments will acquire four lignite-fired power stations with a total capacity of 8,000 MW from Vattenfall located in Eastern
Germany and the associated open-cast mines in the Lausitz region.

Shoosmiths acts on major office letting in Chatham Maritime

Mabey Property Limited on a significant leasing transaction that will see the client's Chatham Maritime premises, Compass South, leased to office facilities provider Portal Chatham LLP for more than 15 years.

The building, one of few spaces of its size and quality available in the region, provides 32,890 sq. ft. (3,055.5 m²) of office space and 160 allocated parking spaces. It has been let to Portal and will also be occupied by Vanquis Bank. Mabey now intends to market the property for sale and is seeking offers in excess of £6 million.
