Dentons advises Property Weinheim with the sale out of Shift-Portfolio

Dentons successfully advised Property Weinheim S.a.r.l. Luxemburg on  the sale of the service center Weinheim to Sparkasse Rhein Neckar Nord. By this transaction, the first real estate was sold out of a Shift-Portfolio acquired by DB Real Estate, now the Asset Manager RREEF, in 2006. In total, the portfolio includes 10 commercial properties across Germany with a market value in the hundreds of millions.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Leighton Properties on sale and development of new Leighton Group headquarters

Herbert Smith Freehills has recently advised Leighton Properties on its fund through sale of 177 Pacific Highway,  North Sydney to Singapore-based Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust for AU$413.19 million. The building will be the new headquarters for the Leighton Group.

The 30-storey, 40,000-square-metre tower will be North Sydney’s first new commercial building in six years.

Proposed US$435m Acquisition of the Valerus Field Solutions Business by Kentz Corporation Limited

Simmons & Simmons is advising Kentz Corporation Limited, the holding company of the Kentz engineering and construction group, in relation to its proposed acquisition of the Valerus field solutions business.

Kentz is a global engineering specialist solutions provider, which serves a blue chip client base primarily in the oil and gas, petrochemical and mining and metals sectors. The Group has over 14,500 employees in 30 countries and is listed on the London Stock Exchange (symbol: KENZ).

BLP advises Lodha Group on first ever UK deal

Berwin Leighton Paisner has acted for India’s largest real estate developer, Lodha Group (Lodha), on its acquisition of the Canadian High Commission at One Grosvenor Square, for £306m, for residential development.

The acquisition represents Lodha Group’s first foray into the London market. Lodha successfully secured the property against stiff competition from a number of high-profile bidders, including CPC Group, PCP Capital Partners, a consortium fronted by Hong Kong billionaire Joseph Lau and Fenton Whelan backed by a consortium of investors.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Beijing Capital Land Ltd. on HK$351.12 million takeover of Juda International Holdings Limited

Norton Rose Fulbright is advising Beijing Capital Land Limited and Beijing Capital Group on an acquisition of approximately 66 per cent of the issued share capital of Juda International Holdings Limited.

The transaction is for a total consideration of HK$351.12 million and will trigger a general offer obligation on Beijing Capital Land for acquiring all the shares not already owned by itself and its concert parties. HSBC is the financial adviser to Beijing Capital Land Limited in its capacity as the offeror.

Irwin Mitchell Leeds Completes Double Deal For JF Finnegan

JF Finnegan has secured two new tenants at its Elizabeth House office building on Queen Street in Leeds with the support of Irwin Mitchell.  The Leeds office of the national law firm advised the developer on the two deals which total 6,652 sq ft. Stanley Davis Group and The Leeds, York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce will move into the building on five year leases.

Mayer Brown advises CBRE Global Investors on the sale of Fiege Mega Center

Mayer Brown advised CBRE Global Investors on the sale of Fiege Mega Center close to Erfurt to Hines Global Reit.  CBRE Global Investors is one of the world’s largest real estate investment management companies.

The Fiege Mega Center was built in 1995 and is a logistics center with around 95,000 m². The building is rented to Fiege Group until 2023. Deutsche Pfandbriefbank financed the deal.
