Wing Tai Properties - disposal of the “Winner Godown Building” in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong

Slaughter and May is advising Wing Tai Properties on the disposal of the “Winner Godown Building” in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.  On 1 December 2017 Wing Tai announced that it had entered into a provisional sale agreement with Sunny Global Development Limited in respect of the sale for a consideration of HK$2,162,460,000.  The sale is a “major transaction” under the Listing Rules of HKEx and the sale is conditional on shareholders’ approval. Dentons advises Skanska on the sale of building X of Generation Park office complex in Warsaw

Dentons advised Skanska Property Poland on the sale of the first building in the Generation Park office complex in Warsaw - its largest office investments in Central and Eastern Europe. The 21,000 sq. m. building was acquired by HansaInvest Real Estate Assets GmbH, one of the largest investment firms in Germany. City Service Center Poland will be its key tenant and will occupy nearly the entire building.

Clifford Chance has advised investment management firm Aberdeen Asset Management Deutschland on the sale of business centre Palac Andel in Prague's Smichov-Andel district for EU57.8 million. The new owner of this 14 630 sq. m modern administrative building is LaSalle Investment Management, the global real estate investment company; the acquisition was made via its open European-owned real estate fund LaSalle E-REGI.

CMS advises on sale of Torun Plaza shopping centre

CMS has advised Plaza Centers N.V. with respect to the sale of the Torun Plaza shopping and entertainment centre in Poland. The transaction closed on 20 November 2017 for an asset value of over EUR 70m.

The team of CMS lawyers that advised the seller was led by Katarzyna Debinska-Pietrzyk (advocate) and included Jagoda Guzik (advocate) and Justyna Tokarzewska (trainee advocate).

Ashurst LLP advised Segro and Segro European Logistics Partnership (SELP) on the sale of a portfolio of three logistic assets to Valor Industrial Partners 1, a joint-venture between Valor Real Estate Partners and AIG Global Real Estate, for a total sale price of circa 35 million of euros.

The assets are located in Croissy-Beaubourg, Emerainville and Les Ulis, France, and develop a total surface area of circa 80,000 sq.m.

The Ashurst team in Paris was composed of real estate partner Guillaume Aubatier, assisted by associate Dorian Scemama.

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised ETF Securities Limited on the equity, US and debt financing aspects of the US$611 million sale of its European exchange-traded commodity, currency and short-and-leveraged business to WisdomTree Investments, Inc.

The acquired business has US$17.6 billion of assets under management, and it secures the company's position as the ninth largest exchange-traded product (ETP) sponsor and as the largest global independent ETP provider, with scale in the two largest ETP markets – Europe and the US.

The renowned German real estate investment company Art-Invest relied on the comprehensive legal counselling provided by Wolf Theiss in entering the Austrian market. The Real Estate, Tax and Banking teams of Austria’s largest law firm supported the client in acquiring the landmark property “Millennium Tower”.

The purchase took place for a special fund which Art-Invest established on behalf of the pension fund Rheinische Versorgungskassen.
