New York team advises MRV Communications, Inc. in the sale of Tecnonet S.p.A.

Norton Rose Fulbright represented MRV Communications, Inc., a global provider of packet and optical networking solutions, in its sale of Tecnonet S.p.A, its Network Integration subsidiary based in Rome, Italy, to Maticmind S.p.A. based in Milan, Italy, for a total consideration of €19.7 million or approximately US$21.5 million. 

The sale of the Network Integration business will enable MRV Communications to focus all of its energy on becoming an end-to-end packet and optical networking solutions provider.

DLA Piper advises New Signature in its acquisition of Microsoft consultancy leader InfraScience

DLA Piper represented New Signature in connection with its acquisition of Atlanta-based Microsoft Partner InfraScience. The deal, announced December 1, 2015, continued New Signature’s strategic expansion of service offerings for the company’s North American customers. The deal is the fifth in 2015 in which the firm advised New Signature.

A cross-firm team at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co (WLG) has advised Virtus Data Centres (VIRTUS), on its acquisition of Slough-based Infinity SDC's West London data centre.

This strategic investment increases VIRTUS' portfolio of high quality, cloud centric metro data centres, making it one of the largest hybrid data centre providers in London.

DLA Piper advises Updater Inc. on IPO and ASX listing

DLA Piper has advised New York City based technology company Updater Inc on its AU$22 million initial public offering (IPO) and listing of CHESS Depositary Interests on the ASX today.

Updater is a New York City based start-up, founded in 2010. The company has developed technology that transforms the home relocation process in the United States. Their innovative Mover Product offers a centralised online service helping consumers organise and complete all their moving-related logistics efficiently and seamlessly - from redirecting mail to scheduling a removalist.

Telenor and Bredbandsbolaget win important case regarding the requirement that Internet operators block subscriber access

Bredbandsbolaget, owned by Norwegian Telenor, has won an important case in the Stockholm City Court on whether Internet operators should be forced to block subscribers from accessing certain sites, such as the Swefilmer streaming service. The judgment, which received a great deal of attention, is the first of its kind in Sweden, and it is likely to be appealed by the opposing parties. 

KWM advises Datatec on Logicalis’ acquisition of Thomas Duryea

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised parent company, Datatec on Logicalis’ acquisition of 100% of shares in Thomas Duryea Consulting in an all-cash deal for an undisclosed sum.

Australian IT infrastructure consultancy, Thomas Duryea is headquartered in Melbourne. IT infrastructure and managed services company, Logicalis is owned by Datatec, a global IT giant listed on the Johannesburg and London Stock Exchanges that also owns major distributor Westcon Group.

Hexagon acquires Camtech

The measurement technology group Hexagon, has acquired Camtech GmbH& Co KG. Camtech has been a distributor of Vero Software’s EdgeCAM solutions in Germany since 2003. Vero Software was acquired by Hexagon in 2014. The addition of  Camtech to the Hexagon portfolio supports Hexagon's and Vero's commitment to develop future-oriented manufacturing solutions.
