Dentons advises STADT UND LAND on the acquisition of 1,000 apartments

Dentons has advised STADT UND LAND Wohnbauten-Gesellschaft mbH on the acquisition of a property portfolio containing just under 1,000 residential and six commercial units in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin. The transaction is still subject to approval by the cartel authorities. The portfolio acquired is nearly fully let and comprises buildings with around 56,500 sqm living space, distributed equally between Marzahn and Hellersdorf.

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Challenger Life Company Limited on its $133 million acquisition and lease back arrangement of The NEXT Hotel at 76 Queen Street, Brisbane.

The recently renovated The NEXT Hotel, strategically located on Queen Street Mall Brisbane, is a mixed used development comprising a 1,827 sqm retail podium and a 304 room 4.5 star hotel operated by the Silverneedle Hospitality Group.

Dentons advises GLL Real Estate Partners on €42 million acquisition of Kazimierz Office Center in Kraków, Poland

Dentons Real Estate team acted as legal counsel to a fund managed by GLL Real Estate Partners on the preliminary acquisition of Kazimierz Office Center in Kraków, Poland, from Globe Trade Centre, a leading commercial real estate company focused on CEE and SEE. The transaction was valued at €42 million.

DAC Beachcroft has advised Crest Nicholson on its acquisition of Valentine Place between London Bridge and Waterloo stations, soon to be the site of a £80million mixed-use development.

DAC Beachcroft's specialist London Housebuilding team acted for Crest, one of the UK's premier housebuilders.  The firm is already a panel adviser for the client.

Addleshaw Goddard has advised Bruntwood on the acquisition of the former BBC site on Oxford Road, Manchester from Realty Estates.

The strategic acquisition will see Bruntwood create a new community for business, science and innovation. The project will include 900,000 sq ft of commercial space, public open space, retail facilities, a hotel, car park and high quality residential accommodation.

Hogan Lovells Advises M&G Real Estate on £55M London Fruit & Wool Exchange Acquisition

27 March 2015 - Hogan Lovells has advised long-term client M&G Real Estate on its £55 million acquisition of The London Fruit & Wool Exchange building in Spitalfields from Exemplar.

Following the completion of the acquisition, M&G Real Estate and Exemplar will work in partnership to redevelop the site. Completion is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018, in time for the completion of Crossrail.

Mayer Brown advises Tristan on the acquisition of a logistics park

Mayer Brown has advised pan-European real estate investment manager Tristan Capital Partners on the acquisition of a 24.3 hectares logistics park together with Alpha Industrial from Marktkauf Holding, a company of EDEKA group. The property is located in a suburb of Bielefeld (Germany) and comprises 85,000 m² warehouse and office space. The purchase price was EUR 31 million.

Alpha Industrial is a project developer, lessor and asset manager for logistics and industrial properties and has already worked together with Tristan in the past.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Carlyle International Energy Partners on purchase of Romanian business of Sterling Resources

Herbert Smith Freehills' energy team has advised Carlyle International Energy Partners (CIEP), part of the Carlyle Group, on its agreement to purchase the entire Romanian business of Sterling Resources. The acquisition includes license blocks 13 Pelican, 15 Midia, 25 Luceafarul and 27 Muridava, all located in the Romanian Black Sea.
