CMS advises on the purchase and financing of a Boeing 737-400

Gladiator Leasing, a subsidiary of Erste Group Bank AG, purchased an aeroplane owned by the American company Aircraft 28038 LLC (a subsidiary of Aircastle) - a global company involved in purchasing, leasing and sales of commercial aeroplanes. Enter Air, a Polish charter airline, remains the operator of the aeroplane. The airline has four permanent bases of operation: Chopin airport in Warsaw, the airport in Pyrzowice, the airport in Poznan and the airport in wroclaw, and leases a total of 14 Boeings, including the aeroplane belonging to Gladiator Leasing.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Danish JV on UK straw fuelled Biomass plant acquistion

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised BWSC Power Corporation Limited (BPCL), a joint venture between Danish power plant developer BWSC and Danish fund Copenhagen Infrastructure I (CII), in relation to the £170 million acquisition and development of the 44.2MW straw fuelled Snetterton biomass plant in Norfolk, UK.

Partners Group Acquires Helvetica I Fund Portfolio

Partners Group, a leading private markets investment manager, acquired the "Helvetica I" portfolio on behalf of its clients in a secondary transaction. Helvetica Property Investors AG will continue to act as asset manager of the commercial real estate portfolio.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Partners Group. The team included Corrado Rampini (M&A, Real Estate), Christoph Neeracher, Philippe Seiler, Beda Kaufmann and Sabrina Schalcher (all M&A).

Allens acts on major agribusiness deal

Allens has advised property fund manager CorVal Partners Limited and family office RF Capital in their purchase of six poultry processing facilities across Australia from Inghams Property Management Pty Ltd.

CorVal and RF Capital purchased the poultry processing facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia for approximately $100 million and will lease the facilities back to Inghams.

The leases on the properties will run to 2034.

The Allens team on the matter was led by Partner Victoria Holthouse.

Herbert Smith Freehills advises Huaneng Power on US$1.19 billion acquisition of Chinese power plants

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Huaneng Power International Inc., one of China's largest listed power producers, on its acquisition of equity interests in ten power plants in China for a total consideration of US$1.19 billion.  Beijing-based Huaneng Power is the listed unit of the mainland’s largest power producer, China Huaneng Group. The company is mainly engaged in developing, constructing, operating and managing large-scale power plants throughout China.

Allianz Capital Partners has invested in Sattravallen wind park

Allianz Capital Partners has acquired the Sattravallen wind park in the municipality of Kristinehamn from Sättravallen Vindkraft AB. The wind park will comprise of 16 Vestas V126-3.3 MW turbines with a total capacity of 52.8 MW and a total height of maximum 186 meters per turbine. Sveaskog is the owner of the land where the wind park is build.

Clifford Chance advises Atrium on the €83 million acquisition of Palac Pardubice shopping centre in the Czech Republic

Clifford Chance advised Atrium European Real Estate Limited on the acquisition of a property company holding the AFI Palac Pardubice shopping centre in the regional capital city of Pardubice in the Czech Republic.

Clifford Chance's role was to advise the buyer on the acquisition transaction which is in line with Atrium’s strategy to buy prime income-producing shopping centres in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. As a result of the AFI Palac deal, now almost 20 percent of Atrium’s total income-producing assets are located in the Czech Republic.
