Jeantet advised Compagnie Financière Richelieu, a French company incorporated by Société Générale de Banque au Liban (SGBL), a Libanese corporate and investment bank, in connection with the acquisition of the private banking and portfolio management activities of KBL European Private Bankers SA in France and Monaco.

Linklaters advises Globalworth on the acquisition of the Spektrum Tower office building from Europa Capital for EU101m

Linklaters has advised Globalworth on the acquisition of the Spektrum Tower office building in Warsaw. The structure, a notable feature of downtown Warsaw, holds a total leasing area of about 29,500 sqm and is almost 90% leased.

Following this transaction, the total value of Globalworth's portfolio will exceeded EU1b and reach nearly 375,000 sqm.

The legal team advising on the acquisition was led by Warsaw real estate partner Janusz Dzianachowski, supported by associates Adriana Andrzejewska, Bartosz Guzinski and Monika Lerka.

DLA Piper advises Allianz in acquisition of grade-A office space in Beijing

DLA Piper has advised Allianz Real Estate GmbH (Allianz) in the acquisition of a 31,426 square meters grade-A office asset located in Zhongguancun, a sought-after hub for IT and technology companies in Beijing. Branded as China's Silicon Valley, Zhongguancun Software Park has seen strong rental growth and one of the lowest levels of vacancy in the capital city.

The office space is currently 100 percent occupied and leased to leading Chinese technology companies, some are well-known internationally.

Dentons Rodyk acted for Mapletree Logistics Trust Management Ltd., the Manager of Mapletree Logistics Trust (“MLT”) (being the first Asia-focused logistics REIT in Singapore), in MLT’s proposed acquisition of five modern, ramp-up logistics properties from Hong Kong-listed CWT International Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group), for an estimated acquisition purchase price of S$778.3 million.

Schulte Advises Veritas Capital and Its Affiliates in Acquisition of GE Healthcare Unit

Schulte represented Veritas Capital and its affiliates in their acquisition of GE Healthcare’s enterprise financial management, ambulatory care management and workforce management assets comprising its value-based care division for $1.05 billion in cash. Veritas is a leading private equity firm that has made the healthcare technology space a key area of focus. Harnessing data and analytics across hardware, software and biotech, GE Healthcare is the $19 billion healthcare business of GE. The transaction was announced on April 2, 2018 and closed on July 11, 2018.

Gowling WLG advises Meggitt PLC on its new £130m supersite

International law firm Gowling WLG has advised international aerospace, defence and energy engineering group Meggitt on the acquisition and development of its proposed new supersite in the West Midlands.

The £130m project at Ansty Park in Coventry, developed in conjunction with partners, will bring together a number of Meggitt's existing operations and represents a significant investment in the long-term future of Meggitt's UK manufacturing capability.

CMS advises on 47 MW investment in solar power project

CMS has advised Scatec Solar ASA (Scatec Solar), a Norway-based solar power developer, on acquisition of a stake in solar projects portfolio from Rengy Development, one of the largest developers and independent solar power producers in Ukraine, with the aim to build solar power plants with the total capacity of 47 MW in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine. As part of this transaction, Scatec Solar will own 51% of the business and Rengy Development will own the balance. Total capex for the projects is estimated at EUR 52 million.

Irwin Mitchell Helps Creative Arts Secure Space In Sheffield

National law firm Irwin Mitchell has advised Yorkshire Artspace, a high profile local Sheffield Arts Charity on the acquisition of Exchange Place Studios, in Sheffield's historical Castlegate.

Yorkshire Artspace has acquired the whole of the Exchange Place building for an undisclosed sum.  Funding and support from Arts Council England has made this acquisition possible.

WFW advises aventron on acquisition of German wind farm

Watson Farley & Williams ("WFW") has advised aventron AG ("aventron"), the well-known Swiss operator of renewable power plants, on its acquisition of the Hochstatten wind farm currently owned by Nuremberg-based N-ERGIE Sonne und Wind GmbH & Co. KG, part of the N-ERGIE AG-Group.

Located in the Bad Kreuznach district of Germany's Rhineland-Palatinate region, the Hochstatten wind farm has been operational since 2012. It has a total installed capacity of 6 MW comprising three Vestas V90 wind turbine generators of 2 MW each.
