Dentons advises Echo Polska Properties N.V. (EPP) on the EU692.1 million acquisition of the M1 portfolio of 12 retail properties. The seller is the Chariot Top Group consortium co-managed by Griffin Real Estate through its subsidiaries.

The portfolio comprises 12 retail properties with over 620 stores and a total gross lettable area of . 446,500 sq.m. All assets are single-level, fully-leased and situated on large sites facing motorways. The entire portfolio is subject to a master lease from Metro AG which expires in April 2024.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has advised Swedish hotelier Pandox AB (‘Pandox’) on its agreement to acquire a portfolio of 36 hotel businesses under the Jurys Inn brand, and one Hilton Garden Inn from Lone Star. The agreement was made by Pandox in partnership with Fattal Hotels Group (‘Leonardo’) as the operating partner.

Shearman & Sterling advised Corning Incorporated on its proposed acquisition of 3M Company’s global Fiber and Copper Connectivity Solutions Business. The closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

AXA acquires the property upon which will be created the Nhow hotel, consisting of amongst others 650 guest rooms and a parking garage with 201 parking spaces for a transaction value of EUR 142,412,000.

Merin acquired a portfolio consisting of 20 office buildings of 134,000 sqm located throughout the Nehterlands for a total value of EUR 180,000,000.

Trowers & Hamlins has advised Residential Secure Income plc (“ReSI”) which invests in residential asset classes that comprise the stock of UK social housing providers, on the completion of its first acquisition with the purchase of a rental homes portfolio comprising 1,341 retirement properties for a total consideration of approximately £100 million.

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised R+V Versicherung, one of Germany's largest insurers, on the acquisition of the former "Marktpassage" in the city centre of Bielefeld. The building has 12,085 m² of leasable space and 154 parking spaces.

Norton Rose Fulbright advised on the full legal due diligence process and has in addition negotiated the purchase agreement. The team also advised on tax law, corporate law and supervisory law.

Advised by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek, Munich-based DOMICIL Real Estate Group acquired the LivING residential real estate portfolio in Ingolstadt. The portfolio consists of 21 buildings comprising 508 residential units and 236 parking spaces. It was sold by the open-ended public AIF Wertgrund WohnSelect D as part of a structured bidding process in which DOMICIL prevailed.
 

Mills & Reeve has advised the University of Birmingham on its new flagship home in Birmingham city centre.

The Birmingham real estate team assisted the University on its acquisition of a long term interest in the landmark listed former Municipal Bank.

The University will restore the Grade II-listed building and turn it into a city centre showcase to display its research and host performances and exhibitions.
