DLA Piper advises BASF on the planned acquisition of the global Polyamides business of Solvay

DLA Piper has advised the DAX company, BASF, on the planned acquisition of the integrated global Polyamides business of Solvay. A corresponding agreement was signed between the two groups on 18 September 2017. The purchase price on a cash and debt-free basis would amount 1.6 billion Euros.

Macfarlanes advises Supermarket Income REIT Plc on property acquisitions and credit facility

Macfarlanes has advised Supermarket Income REIT Plc on its first three property acquisitions and its related £100 million revolving credit facility with HSBC. Macfarlanes had previously advised Supermarket Income REIT Plc on its IPO onto the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

The latest acquisition is of a Sainsbury’s store in Ashford for £80m.  This follows the acquisition of two Tesco stores in Thetford and Bristol for approximately £71m in aggregate. 

CMS Budapest advises NEPI Rockcastle on EUR 275 million acquisition of Arena Plaza shopping centre in Budapest

CMS advised NEPI Rockcastle plc on the acquisition of Arena Plaza shopping centre in Budapest, through buying all the issued shares in, and claims against, Symmetry Arena Ingatlankezelo Korlatolt Felelossegu Tarsasag, the owner of Arena Plaza.

With a gross lettable area of 66,000m2, Arena Plaza is the second largest retail centre in Budapest and its EUR 275 million acquisition is considered to be one of the biggest Hungarian real estate transaction this year.

ABB has successfully completed the previously announced acquisition of the mis-sion-critical communication business of the KEYMILE Group, a leading manufacturer of mission-critical and broadband telecommunication solutions, with installations across 100 countries.

An international team of CMS Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK, Brazil and Singapore under the lead of Stefan Brunnschweiler has advised ABB on all matters of the transaction.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises Wirsol Energy on the acquisition of 110MWp Victorian solar project

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised international solar energy company Wirsol Energy (part of the WIRCON Group) on the acquisition of the 110 MWp Wemen Sun Farm, Victoria.
 
To be built over an area of 770 acres, the Wemen Sun Farm is located close to Mildura in Victoria. Wirsol expects to commence construction of the project during the last quarter of 2017.

Dentons advises INTERNOS on the acquisition of a nursing home property in Herne

Dentons has advised INTERNOS Spezialfondsgesellschaft on the acquisition of “Seniorencampus Herne-Baukau”, a nursing home property in Herne, Germany, from Dietz & Kaffanke GbR.

The property is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed in November 2017. It will provide more than 80 nursing home places in single rooms as well as a pharmacy, a general medical practice and a physiotherapy practice. The building has a total area of 4.850 sq. m. and is already leased for 25 years to Protea Care GmbH.

Eubelius assists Warehouses De Pauw in its acquisition of an industrial site in Zonhoven

The real estate investment trust (BE-REIT) specialised in logistics real estate, Warehouses De Pauw (WDP), realised the acquisition of an industrial site in Zonhoven through a partial demerger with a subsequent contribution in kind in WDP. Acquisition of the Chydenia Building

We advised Special Investment Fund eQ Care in its acquisition of a property known as the Chydenia Building located in Töölö, Helsinki from Aalto University Properties Ltd. The property forms a part of the Töölö Campus and is currently in the use of the Aalto University School of Business. As part of the transaction, Aalto University has leased the premises in the Chydenia Building for a fixed term until July 2019.

Osborne Clarke has advised Campus Living Villages on the acquisition of a long leasehold interest in Cranborne House, granted by the University of Bournemouth.

Cranborne House adds to the three properties already owned and managed by Campus Living Villages and takes their bed numbers in Bournemouth to a total of 1,201.
