Austria: Schoenherr advises Deka Immobilien on acquisition of two office buildings in Vienna

Schoenherr advised real estate investment company Deka Immobilien on the acquisition of two office buildings in Vienna, "Hoch Zwei" and "Plus Zwei", from S IMMO AG. The purchase price was EUR 235m and closing took place today, 31 August 2017. The two office buildings are the headquarters of Austrian energy company OMV AG. Schoenherr recently advised Deka Immobilien on another prestigious real estate transaction – the acquisition of DC Tower 1, Vienna's tallest hotel and office building.

Dentons advises INTERNOS on the acquisition of a nursing home property in Menden

Dentons has advised the real estate investor INTERNOS Spezialfondsgesellschaft mbH on the acquisition of the Cramer’sche Fabrik nursing home property from developer ESM Bauträger & Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH.

The retirement home Cramer’sche Fabrik was built in 2006 and has a total area of 4,650 sq. m. It includes 58 single rooms and 11 double rooms, offers barrier-free access, and houses approximately 80 senior citizens. The property is operated by Krutmann Prosana GmbH & Co. KG. It is leased for 25 years.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises on first dry bulk joint venture and acquisition for Ivy Shipping LLC

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis on the formation of a dry bulk joint venture with two first class global companies, to create Ivy Shipping LLC. The primary focus of Ivy Shipping LLC is to invest in supramax and panamax dry bulk carriers.

The firm also advised Ivy Shipping LLC on the acquisition of four Japanese-built supramaxes from Mitsubishi Corporation affiliates, with two ships already delivered and the remaining two ships expected to be in full service by the end of summer 2017.

Noerr advises Gold Tree on acquisition of Telekom property in Leipzig

Once again, Noerr has advised the Gold Tree Group on a real estate transaction with a team from its Real Estate Investment Group (REIG). Using a forward deal, the Swiss real estate investor acquired yet another office property in the direct proximity of the Leipzig main train station from the Ten Brinke Group. Completion of the property, for which Deutsche Telekom has signed a long-term lease, is slated for the first quarter of 2018.

Dentons advises KGAL on acquisition of Budapest's Kalvin Square and City Zen

Dentons has advised German asset manager KGAL Investment Management GmbH on its EU60 million acquisition of the Kalvin Square and City Zen office buildings, totaling 26,000 sqm, in downtown Budapest, from Europa Capital.

KGAL invests in and manages properties on behalf of institutional investors. The Kalvin Square Office Building is a prominent "A" category office complex on one of the busiest traffic hubs in Budapest, surrounded by amenities. The CityZen Office Building is also "A" category, freshly renovated and BREEAM certified for its high environmental standards.

KWM advises on the acquisition of Australia’s largest wind farm

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised QIC, on behalf of its clients the QIC Global Infrastructure Fund and the Future Fund, on the acquisition of Coopers Gap Wind Farm in Queensland, forming part of the Powering Australian Renewables Fund’s (PARF) growing portfolio.

Once constructed, AGL’s 453 megawatt Coopers Gap Wind Farm will be the largest wind farm in Australia, with the capacity to power more than 260,000 Australian homes.

Ashurst advises La Francaise on the acquisition of Campus 53 office building in Frankfurt

Ashurst advised property investor La Francaise Real Estate Partners International (La Francaise) on the acquisition of office building "Campus 53" in Frankfurt's Ostend. The seller of the six storey building located at Ferdinand-Happ-Strabe 53 is Deutsche Asset Management, belonging to Deutsche Bank Group. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The 6.730 square metre object is fully let to global advertising agency Leo Burnett. 58 parking spaces are available on the two basement levels.
