Slaughter and May advised INEOS in connection with its proposed acquisition of the Forties Pipeline System (FPS) and associated pipelines and facilities from BP. Under the terms of the agreement INEOS will pay BP a consideration of up to $250 million for the business, comprising a cash payment of $125 million on completion and an earn-out arrangement over seven years that could total $125 million.

GSK Stockmann has advised Swiss Life Asset Managers on the acquisition of the Stuttgart shopping mall SchwabenGalerie for a fund of its subsidiary Swiss Life Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (Swiss Life KVG). Seller is a fund of Deutsche Fonds Holding AG, Stuttgart. The parties have agreed to keep the purchase price confidential.

Union Investment acquired the shopping center "Rathaus-Galerie" (City Hall Gallery) in Leverkusen for the open real estate fund UniImmo: Europa. The seller of the center, which opened in 2010 with retail space of around 36,300 m², was the open-ended CS EUROREAL real estate fund, managed by CREDIT SUISSE ASSET MANAGEMENT Immobilien KAG.

Pinsent Masons advises First Solar on its acquisition and development of the Manildra Solar Farm

Pinsent Masons has advised First Solar (Australia) Pty Ltd on its acquisition from Infigen Energy and development of the 48.5 megawatt (MW) Manildra Solar Farm in New South Wales (NSW), Australia.

The deal will see First Solar leverage its expertise in utility-scale solar development to deliver the project, which will utilise approximately 466,000 First Solar thin-film photovoltaic (PV) modules and single-axis tracking technology. Once constructed, the development will be among the largest solar PV projects in Australia.

Advising Spring REIT on its Acquisition of 84 Commercial Properties in the United Kingdom

Baker McKenzie is advising Spring Real Estate Investment Trust ("Spring REIT") on its proposed acquisition of 84 commercial properties in the United Kingdom for approximately £73.5 million.  The properties are being operated as car servicing centres principally under the brand "Kwik-Fit".  This is Spring REIT's first proposed acquisition since its initial public offering, and the first by a H-REIT in the United Kingdom.
