TLT advises Thrive on windfarms sale

TLT has advised renewable energy investment company Thrive Renewables on the real estate and planning aspects of the sale of two operational windfarms to infrastructure fund manager Equitix.

The windfarms – in North Wales and Suffolk – have generated enough clean electricity to power over 9,000 average UK homes annually and will continue under the new ownership.

Thrive will use the proceeds to build new renewable energy capacity in the UK.

WFW advises Armamento Setramar on M/n. “Pietro Benedetti” sale

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Armamento Setramar, a shipping company that is part of the Setramar Group, on the sale of the vessel “Pietro Benedetti”.

The “Pietro Benedetti”, a multipurpose 9,800dwt unit primarily focused on carrying general and project cargoes, was sold to a Finnish company.

WFW advised on the negotiation of related documentation and the establishment of an escrow acount for the release of the sale price.

Baker McKenzie advises Taubman Centers Inc. on its sale of 50 percent of its interests in three shopping centers in Asia to Blackstone

Baker McKenzie has advised Taubman Centers Inc., an S&P MidCap 400 Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that invests in shopping centers, on its sale of 50 percent of Taubman Asia’s interests in three Asia-based shopping centers to funds managed by The Blackstone Group L.P. (Blackstone). Taubman will remain the partner responsible for the joint management of the three shopping centers located in Hanam, South Korea; Xi'an, China; and Zhengzhou, China. The transaction is valued at USD 480 million.

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Brooks Events Limited on the sale of Mack-Brooks Exhibitions to Reed Exhibitions, a division of RELX Group plc, the FTSE 100 media group.

Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, based in St. Albans, was established in 1965 and features more than 30 business-to-business events in 14 countries, across a range of sectors.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by corporate partner Ben Mercer, who was supported by corporate associate Kate Hewitson and various teams around the firm.

Top 40 law firm Trowers & Hamlins has advised 90 North Real Estate Partners on the sale of Riverside East in Sheffield to to Corum XL for £24.65m.

Trowers advised on all aspects of the transaction, drawing on expertise from our commercial property, banking & finance, corporate and projects & construction teams.

The building provides 119,000 sq ft of office space across a ground and six upper floors and walking distance of Sheffield City centre.

A joint project company of ON Real Estate and TPH Real Estate sold a project development at Wattenscheider Straße 13 in Düsseldorf. A team led by Düsseldorf-based partner Dr. Peter Vocke advised the company on the share deal. The buyers are two family offices from Frankfurt and Hamburg.

Burges Salmon’s Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency team has advised PwC as joint administrators on the sale of tReds, a UK footwear and fashion retailer that went into administration in late January.

The deal was completed within an extremely tight timeframe, with just 4 days between instruction and completion.
