Real estate experts advise on A$85 million Elizabeth Quay land sale

Hebert Smith Freehills has advised Western Australia’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) on the sale of Lots 2 and 3 at Perth’s Elizabeth Quay to CA & Associates for A$85 million.

The Lots form part of the WA Government’s iconic Elizabeth Quay development project, which is on the edge of the Swan River in Perth’s CBD.

We advise Caixabank on the sale of nonperforming loan portfolios

Caixabank has completed the sale of two nonperforming loan portfolios to international investment funds specialized in managing this type of assets.

The loan package is mostly made of real estate debt. The banking institution continues with its process of divestment from toxic assets and nonperforming loans related to the real estate sector.

DLA Piper advises Carlyle Asia Real Estate team on sale of Central Plaza in Shanghai

DLA Piper has advised the Carlyle Asia Real Estate team on the sale of Central Plaza office tower in Shanghai to V Capital, the private equity arm of Chinese real estate developer Vanke.

Central Plaza is a grade-A office tower in Shanghai’s central business district Huangpu, next to the Shanghai Municipal Government and many other landmark buildings.  It has a total gross floor area in excess of 47,200 square meters.

DLA Piper advises Vertellus in chapter 11 sale

DLA Piper represented Vertellus Specialties Inc., a global specialty chemicals company, in a chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and completion of the anticipated sale of the majority of its assets to Valencia Bidco LLC, a new entity formed by the company's existing term loan lenders. The transaction closed on October 31, 2016.

The transaction will provide the company with an enhanced capital structure and greater flexibility in selecting investments. The new Vertellus group of companies will be led by members of the existing leadership team.

Restructuring and insolvency experts advise on the sale of six Keystone Group venues in Sydney

Herbert Smith Freehills has advised Morgan Kelly and Ryan Eagle of Ferrier Hodgson (the receivers and managers of Keystone Group) on the sale of six Sydney-based Keystone Group venues to Dixon Hospitality Group.

The transaction involves the sale of some of Sydney’s most prestigious bars and restaurants including Bungalow 8, Cargo Bar and Kingsleys Woolloomooloo. The sale is expected to complete later this year.

NautaDutilh assisted DELTA Energy in deal with Eneco Wind

NautaDutilh assisted DELTA Energy B.V. with the sale of its wind and solar activities to Eneco Wind.

The sale comprises three operational wind parks with a capacity of 28.7 megawatt, two ready-to-build wind parks with a capacity of 11.5 megawatt, a number of wind development projects with a contemplated capacity of c. 60 megawatt and four solar projects with a contemplated capacity of 10 megawatt.

Clifford Chance advises BGP Holdings Europe S.à r.l. on the sale of 16,000 apartments

Clifford Chance advised BGP Holdings Europe S.à r.l., a Luxembourg real estate investment company, on the sale of BGP Investment S.à r.l. with a portfolio of approx. 16,000 apartments located in Germany by way of a share deal. The sale was preceded by a dual track procedure during which both, a potential IPO and a structured M&A sales process were initiated in parallel. The sale of BGP Investment S.à r.l. is one of this year's largest transactions in the residential property sector in Germany.
