Norton Rose Fulbright has advised IDCM Limited (IDCM) on a listed solar bond issue and placement with Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) Infrastructure, who acted on behalf of an external institutional investor. The issue date for the listed notes was reached on 5 May 2015.

Linklaters advises on US$1.5 billion sukuk issued by the Government of Malaysia

Linklaters has advised the Ministry of Finance, Government of Malaysia, on the first sovereign sukuk of the year, valued at US$1.5 billion. It attracted orders of over US$9 billion from Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the United States, making it one of the most prominent sukuk issuances in recent times in Asia. The Reg S/144A sukuk was split into a US$1 billion 10-year tranche and US$500 million 30-year offering.

Hengeler Mueller advises Bank of America Merrill Lynch on securitisation of The Squaire loan via Taurus 2015-2 DEU

Bank of America Merrill Lynch has arranged a CMBS transaction via Taurus 2015-2 DEU. Bonds in a total amount of €445m were issued in six tranches to refinance a loan granted to a subsidiary of IVG Immobilien AG and secured by The Squaire located next to Frankfurt Airport.

Hengeler Mueller advised Bank of America Merrill Lynch in all aspects of this transaction. The Hengeler Mueller team included partner Martin Geiger (London) and counsel Axel Gehringer as well as associates Bernhard K. Quensel (both Frankfurt) and Malte Wundenberg (London) (all Financing).

CHF 2,016,510,000 Notes Refinancing of SALT (Formerly: ORANGE)

The two parent companies of Salt (formerly: "Orange Communications SA") Matterhorn Telecom S.A. and Matterhorn Telecom Holding S.A. issued CHF 2,016,510,000 (equivalent) aggregate principal amount of Senior Secured Notes due 2022 and Senior Notes due 2023 to redeem in full all existing notes and make a distribution to the group's shareholders. The notes were issued at a price of 100% of their principal amount. Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) acted as coordinator and as joint bookrunner together with J.P.

Simpson Thacher Represents Aston Martin in its Private Placement of Up to £200 Million (US$300 Million) Preference Shares

Simpson Thacher represented Aston Martin Holdings (UK) Limited, the holding company of the Aston Martin group, on its issuance of £100 million (US$150 million) of redeemable Preference Shares, together with binding commitments to subscribe for an additional £100 million of Preference Shares within the next 12 months, securing the funding for its next generation of cars. 

Oxford college joins universities seeking funding in capital markets

Allen & Overy said today that the debut GBP40 million bond issue by University College in the University of Oxford, one of the leading universities in the world, underlines a shift in how UK higher education institutions access finance.

The bonds, with a maturity date of 2065, are the first to be sold by an Oxford college and will be listed on the London Stock Exchange. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes. Oxford follows De Montfort, Cambridge, Manchester and Northampton University in accessing the capital markets.

Dentons advises National Bank of Kuwait on US$700 million Additional Tier 1 bond issuance

Kuwait—Dentons advised the Joint Lead Managers on National Bank of Kuwait's issuance of US$700 million Perpetual Tier 1 Capital Securities, completed on 9 April 2015. The Capital Securities were listed on the Irish Stock Exchange and were offered to sophisticated investors.

HSBC and Standard Chartered Bank acted as Global Coordinators, and together with Citigroup, National Bank of Abu Dhabi and NBK Capital, as Joint Lead Managers, on the issuance of the Capital Securities. Union National Bank acted as Co-Lead Manager on the transaction.

Slaughter and May advised Fosse Master Issuer on its issue of Notes

Slaughter and May advised Fosse Master Issuer plc in respect of the issue of US$500 million, US$300 million and £500 million 2015-1 Notes in three different classes under its Residential Mortgage-Backed Note Issuance Programme. The Notes were listed on the Main Securities Market of the Irish Stock Exchange and awarded the Prime Collateralised Securities Label by the PCS Secretariat.

Slaughter and May also advised Santander UK plc in its capacity as sponsor, seller, servicer, cash manager and originator under the Programme.

United Group Completes €150 Million Senior Secured Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher represented United Group B.V., a KKR portfolio company, in connection with a Rule 144A and Regulation S offering of €150 million in aggregate principal amount of its Senior Secured Notes due 2020. The transaction closed on April 28, 2015. United Group used the net proceeds from this offering to prepay all of the outstanding borrowings under its revolving credit facility, to repay certain of its outstanding debt and for general corporate purposes.
