Ashurst advises Biotest on a rights issue with pre-placement to raise approximately €76 million

Ashurst advised Biotest AG as transaction counsel on its successful capital increase with subscription rights from authorised capital. The gross issue proceeds from the capital increase amount to approximately €76 million. The company plans to use the proceeds to create and extend new production capacities at its main production site in Dreieich, near Frankfurt. equinet Bank AG acted as sole global coordinator in the transaction.

Clifford Chance advises RBS Morgans and Petra Capital on capital raising by Ingenia Communities Group

Sydney: Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised RBS Morgans and Petra Capital in their capacity as joint lead managers on the successful A$22 million capital raising completed by Ingenia Communities Group.

Ingenia is a leading owner, operator and developer of seniors' housing communities in Australia.  Proceeds of the raising will be used to fund acquisitions of managed home estates.

Partner Lance Sacks led the Clifford Chance team advising the joint lead managers, assisted by associate Owen Thomas.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises bookrunners on UNITE’s £51.2 million cashbox placing

Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised J.P. Morgan and Numis as joint bookrunners and corporate brokers on The UNITE Group plc's £51.2 million fundraising.

The transaction, which involved a cash box placing to existing and new institutional investors, was announced on June 13, 2013 and dealings in the new shares commenced today, June 18.

Pinsent Masons advises Retroscreen on £25.5 million fund raising

International law firm Pinsent Masons has advised antiviral anti-viral clinical trial specialist, Retroscreen, on its conditional placing raising a total of £25.5 million.

The firm, lead by corporate partner Russell Booker and associate Mark Stephens advised the AIM-listed company which is expected to use the funds to build a new clinical division.

Retroscreen is a virology healthcare business which provides clinical and pre-clinical analytical services for flu and cold antiviral products to global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations.
