Slaughter and May is advising DS Smith plc, a leading international packaging business, on its fully underwritten rights issue to raise approximately £1,000 million (c.€1,148 million) net of expenses (the Rights Issue). The Rights Issue was announced on 19 June 2018 in connection with the proposed acquisition of Papeles y Cartones de Europa, S.A., known as “Europac”, a leading Western European integrated packaging business (the Acquisition).

Osborne Clarke has advised REWE-ZENTRALFINANZ eG and another shareholder on the IPO of Home24.

The company’s shares started at a price of EUR 28.50 in Frankfurt. This offer corresponds to a premium of around 24% at an issue price of EUR 23. The 6.5 million issued shares are accompanied with over-allotments of nearly a million shares. The IPO was accompanied by Berenberg, Citigroup and Goldman Sachs.

DLA Piper advised Immunomedics, Inc. in its follow-on public offering of common stock valued at approximately US$276 million.

New Jersey-based Immunomedics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing monoclonal antibody-based products for the targeted treatment of cancer and other serious diseases.

The DLA Piper team representing Immunomedics was led by partners Andrew Gilbert and Scott Cowan and included associates Brian Tribuna and Michael DeJianne (all of Short Hills).

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer (‘Freshfields’) has advised CLSA Capital Markets Limited and J.P. Morgan Securities (Far East) Limited, the joint sponsors to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) listing of Huifu Payment Limited (‘Huifu Payment’), a leading independent third-party payment service provider in the PRC. The transaction marks the first-ever IPO by a Chinese third-party payment service provider listing on HKSE’s Main Board. The total offer value is approximately US$217m (before the exercise of the over-allotment option).
