Dentons advises Tenaga Nasional Berhad on its first investment into Europe and into solar energy

London—Dentons has advised Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), one of the largest utility players in Asia, with a market capitalisation of circa US$17billion and a power generation capacity of 12GW in 2016, on its acquisition of a 50% shareholding in one of Britain's largest solar power portfolios with a combined net installed capacity of about 365MW.  TNB has acquired the shareholding alongside Beaufort Investments S.a.r.l, a wholly owned subsidiary of EFG Hermes.

Ashurst advises BNP Paribas Securities Services on first bond in hydric sector in Italy

Ashurst advised BNP Paribas Securities Services as principal paying agent, security agent and noteholders' representative on the EUR 100 million project bond issued by Metropolitana Milanese S.p.A., due 2035.

This is the first bond in the hydric sector under the project bond regulation in Italy, aimed at financing the improvement of the quality of water-related services in Milan.

WFW advises banks on 35 MW Italian wind plant project financing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW“) has advised a syndicate of three banks on the transfer of the original €53m financing for the construction of a 35 MW wind plant in Montaguto in Avellino province, Campania, Italy.

The wind plant is owned by an SPV controlled by French private equity fund Ardian and Italian renewable energy provider Margherita Srl.

The WFW Italy team advising the banks was led by finance Partner Pierpaolo Mastromarini, assisted by Associate Daniele Pompei.

White & Case Advises Monte dei Paschi di Siena on Revolving Securitisation of €1.7 Billion Loan Portfolio

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A., as originator, arranger and sole underwriter, on a revolving securitisation of a portfolio of loans granted to Italian small and medium-sized enterprises for a total value of around €1.7 billion.

The Senior Notes and the Mezzanine Notes issued in relation to the transaction have been listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

DLA Piper advises Aareal Bank on the senior financing of EUR 415 million European hotel portfolio

DLA Piper has advised Aareal Bank AG on the provision of a senior financing amounting to EUR 269,750,000 for the acquisition of a European hotel portfolio through the Swedish Pandox Group.

The European Hotel Real Estate Fund II FCP – SIP portfolio, being sold by Invesco Real Estate at a purchase price of EUR 415 million, comprises seven hotels in Germany, Austria and Amsterdam. It includes the following properties: NH Collection Hamburg, NH Frankfurt Airport, NH Munich Airport, Radisson Blu Cologne, NH Salzburg, NH Vienna, Park Hotel Amsterdam.

Clifford Chance advises lenders on US$ 552 million Amandi Energy Power Plant Financing

Clifford Chance has advised the lender group on the financing of the $552 million Amandi Energy Power Plant (Amandi Project), a 200 megawatt combined cycle, dual-fuel power project in Aboadze, Ghana. It is the only large scale base-load independent power generation project in sub-Saharan Africa to achieve financial close to date in 2016.
