Linklaters advises the senior lenders on the € 150,000,000 refinancing of a portfolio of 42 PV plants

Linklaters acted for Unifergie (a member of the Crédit Agricole group) as mandated lead arranger and lender for itself and on behalf LCL and Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence as well as BPIfrance Financement and La Banque Postale Crédit Entreprises as lenders in relation to the € 150,000,000 refinancing by Tenergie SAS of a portfolio of 42 solar plants with an aggregate capacity of 54.4MWp.

Asset manager Rivage Investment, who participated in the structuration of the transaction alongside Unifergie, also participates in this refinancing through two of its funds.

Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised two Italian banks, Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna Società Cooperativa and Credito Valtellinese Società Cooperativa, in relation to a €29 million limited recourse financing to Delsis S.r.l. for the construction, operation and maintenance of a 26 MW wind park located in the Puglia Region of Southern Italy.

WFW advises Bayerische Landesbank on the financing of a portfolio of 18 single turbine onshore wind projects

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Bayerische Landesbank (“Bayern LB“) on the long term financing of a portfolio of 18 single turbine onshore wind projects with Golden Square Energy (“GSE”), the joint venture established between Ingenious Clean Energy and AGR Renewables in 2014.

GSE aims to complete the second tranche of financing of a further 10 assets by the end of this year which would be the market-leading financing transaction of a feed-in tariff (FiT) wind portfolio in the United Kingdom.

Trowers & Hamlins advises Jordan’s NEPCO on procurement of further tranche of LNG

Trowers & Hamlins, in conjunction with Navigant, Tractebel and Mapstone, is pleased to have advised Jordan's National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) on the procurement of a further tranche of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for Jordan's LNG import terminal.

The contract was awarded recently to Royal Dutch Shell and will have a term of two years.  The cargoes are likely to have a value of around US$1 billion and deliveries will commence in early 2016.

BLP advises Golden Square Energy on one of the UK’s largest Feed-In-Tariff wind portfolios

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has advised Golden Square Energy (GSE), a joint venture between Ingenious Clean Energy and AGR Renewables, on the long term refinancing of a portfolio of 18 single turbine onshore wind projects.

BLP advised GSE on the full suite of debt and security documents as well as providing certificates of title on key project sites.

Travers Smith advises Estover Energy in connection with the £138 million financing of the Cramlington biomass combined heat and power plant

Travers Smith LLP has advised existing client Estover Energy in connection with the financing of a new biomass Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant in Cramlington, Northumberland, which is due to be completed by Estover by late 2017.

The Cramlington CHP will supply electricity and heat to local businesses, as well as provide low carbon electricity to the National Grid. The 27.7MWe plant will power the equivalent of 52,000 homes and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of taking 25,000 cars off the road per year.

Mayer Brown advises Bank of America Merrill Lynch on €145 million CMBS

Mayer Brown has advised Bank of America Merrill Lynch as arranger on a €145 million multi-loan, pan-European CMBS transaction secured against light industrial assets located in France, Germany and the Netherlands.

The €145 million transaction involved the issuance by Taurus 2015-3 EU DAC of six tranches of Notes each listed on the Irish Stock Exchange and rated by Moody's and DBRS.

The transaction is significant as it is the first rated French CMBS as well the first European CMBS to use an A/B loan structure since the financial crisis.

Warsaw: Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Polish state-owned investment vehicle Polskie Inwestycje Rozwojowe S.A. (PIR) on the financing of construction of a new gas-fired CHP plant in Torun, Poland.

On 30 September 2015 EDF Polska and a fund managed by PIR - Fundusz Inwestycji Infrastrukturalnych - Kapitalowy Fundusz Inwestycyjny Zamkniety Aktywow Niepublicznych (FIIK), which is handling the capital for the “Inwestycje Polskie” programme - signed an investment agreement for financing of the construction of a new gas-fired CHP plant.

Osborne Clarke has advised UK energy from waste developer GreenEfW Investments on the financing of its UK energy from waste portfolio, backed by a pair of Chinese investors.

China Smarter Energy Group has entered into a co-operative framework agreement with GreenEfW to take on a 55% stake in the company, whilst Shanghai Electric will acquire a 15% interest in GreenEfW.

Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Island Offshore Shipholding LP on the construction and supported financing of a top-hole drill ship.

The construction of the vessel will be performed by Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd and the supported financing parties are Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI).
