WFW and Norton Rose with Solar Energy Italy 6 in the financing of 9,180 MW of PV in Sicily

Watson, Farley & Williams and Norton Rose acted for 6 Solar Energy Italy Srl, a subsidiary of TEP (Solar Holding) Ltd, a company controlled by the Irish fund Trading Emission PLC, in the financing of the acquisition of a photovoltaic capacity 9,180 MW located in Sicily.

The team of Watson, Farley & Williams was coordinated by Cristina Martorana. The lending bank was advised by Orrick.

Trowers & Hamlins acts for One Housing Group in £20m Islamic deal with BLME

Trowers & Hamlins has advised One Housing Group on the first Islamic financing into the social housing sector, as one of the Group's development subsidiaries obtained £20m of development finance under a master murabaha agreement with Bank of London and the Middle East plc.

The firm advised on all aspects of the project, including providing governance advice to the group parent, One Housing Group, and property charging, development & construction advice to the development subsidiaries alongside the finance and security work.

SJ Berwin has advised investment fund Alpha Private Equity Funds 6 in its acquisition of brands from Vertbaudet and Cyrillus PPR, Kering future. The team, led by Olivier Vermeulen, advised the fund Alpha Private Equity Funds 6 on funding (senior and mezzanine) aspects of the acquisition.

DLA Piper advises banking consortium on the refinancing worth 275 million euros of a retail property portfolio

DLA Piper has been advising a banking consortium managed by SEB AG and comprising SEB AG, Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale, Deutsche Hypothekenbank (Actien-Gesellschaft), ING Bank and Coreal Credit Bank AG on the refinancing of a retail property portfolio with 38 locations in Germany. The financing amounted to more than 275 million euros. Each of the participating banks is contributing to the financing with an equal share (20 per cent).

Clifford Chance advises Rockspring in refinancing of a real estate portfolio in Germany

International law firm Clifford Chance has advised British investor Rockspring Property Investment Managers ("Rock-spring") as fund manager of German Retail Box (Jersey) Properties Limited ("GRBF") in connection with the granting of a loan in the amount of 275 million Euros. The loan was granted to refinance a real estate portfolio.

Eversheds advises Legal & General on £120 million property loan

Global law firm Eversheds has advised Legal & General Investment Management on a new £120 million, 10 year debt facility to Bruntwood, the Manchester-based, family-owned commercial property company which owns and manages over 100 UK office buildings.

L&G’s fixed rate loan will partially pre-pay the maturing Bruntwood CMBS, issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland in November 2006, as part of a wider refinancing by Bruntwood.
