Our energy team advises SHARC on Glasgow deal

Our energy projects team have recently guided Newark-based SHARC Energy Systems in the completion of a deal for an undisclosed sum to supply heat to a huge redevelopment project at Clyde Gateway, just outside Glasgow.

The team in the Nottingham office advised on the funding requirements and the heat supply arrangements together with all of the property and development requirements for the scheme.

SHARC will use its innovative wastewater heat recovery technology to generate the heating and cooling services for the Clyde Gateway’s future occupiers.

Osborne Clarke advises Conduent on agreement to sell off-street parking business

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the world’s largest provider of diversified business services, Conduent Incorporated (Conduent), on the sale of its off-street parking business, including the Conduent Multipark System in France and the UK, along with its US airport parking business, to French investor Andera Partners.

The sale is part of Conduent group’s planned program of divestment of non-core assets to enable Conduent to focus on serving large enterprise customers and scalable business relationships.

Gide advises Chalco on highly strategic mining investments in the Republic of Guinea

Gide has advised Chalco Hong Kong Limited (Chalco HK) on the negotiation and signing of a mining convention with the Republic of Guinea for the development of the Boffa Nord and Boffa Sud bauxite mining blocks. The project has an initial investment valued at approximately USD 706 million.

Chalco HK, part of the state-owned group Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco), will develop and exploit the mine, which will have an initial production capacity of 12 million tons per year, through its Guinean project companies.
