Stephenson Harwood advises Circle Holdings on 'first of a kind' China medical project

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Circle Holdings plc on its 20-year management agreement with a Chinese investor group, to develop and operate a medical facility in Shanghai, China.

Clyde & Co successfully advised its client, the Aer Rianta International group (ARI), on its award of a ten year contract to operate a duty free section at Abu Dhabi International Airport's new Midfield terminal building. Allen & Overy LLP has advised the industrial insurance subsidiary of Talanx Group, HDI-Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG, on its change of form to a European company (Societas Europaea, SE) with regard to corporate and regulatory law issues.

The company now operates under the name of HDI Global SE.

The purpose of this non-profit organization under Belgian law (vzw/asbl), which is chaired by Laurent Carlier (CFO Befimmo), is to represent and promote the interests of the Belgian REIT sector towards various stakeholders. It provides to its members a forum for developing and supporting global initiatives of importance to the BE-REIT sector, for collecting knowledge and relevant industry information and providing training.

NautaDutilh assists AES with first commercial energy storage array in continental Europe

AES Energy Storage has completed a 10-megawatt energy storage system in the Netherlands (Vlissingen), which has now begun operating commercially and serving the Netherlands and European Common Markets. The system comprises tens of thousands of lithium-ion batteries and is used to balance the grid, absorbing energy during times of high electricity generation and feeding it out when it drops. The system can be quickly and cost-effectively scaled to enable integration of greater volumes of intermittent generation like wind and solar.

Allen & Overy Casablanca announced it has advised APM Terminals (a subsidiary of AP Moller Maersk group) on its being awarded the concession for a container terminal within the Tangier Med 2 port complex, by the Tangier Mediterranean Special Agency (TMSA), the public entity in charge of the development and management of the Tangier Med seaport complex in Morocco.

Norton Rose Fulbright advises on the rehabilitation of a power station in Morupule complex, Botswana

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) on the evaluation of tenders and negotiation of the contract terms for the refurbishment and rehabilitation of the 132MW coal-fired power station known as Morupule A at Morupule near Palapye, Botswana.

The contract was entered into by BPC and Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co Limited and the transaction is of national importance in the context of the country moving towards self-sufficiency in the supply of electricity.
