Pinsent Masons advises Nabaltec AG on EUR 18.4m capital raising

Pinsent Masons has advised listed chemicals company Nabaltec AG on its EUR 18.4 million capital raising.

Nabaltec AG, successfully increased its share capital by 10%. The new shares were placed by way of accelerated book building with institutional investors raising gross proceeds of €18.4 million. The new shares were placed by Hauck & Aufhäuser Privatbankiers Aktiengesellschaft, Frankfurt am Main/Germany, with institutional investors.

Macfarlanes advises 10x Future Technologies on Series A fundraising

Macfarlanes has advised 10x Future Technologies, the financial transformation business founded by former Barclays CEO Antony Jenkins on one of the largest ever Series A funding rounds for a European FinTech firm.

This fundraising will allow 10x Future Technologies, which was launched in October 2016, to further build out its customer-focused digital platform offering and expand into some of the world’s fastest growing markets.

Baker Botts Represents Aviva in $10.4 Million Corporate Venture Deal for Roost

Baker Botts L.L.P.,announced today its Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) client Aviva, UK’s largest insurance group, successfully closed a $10.4 Million Series B funding round with Roost for a strategic funding investment in the United States.

Roost is a leader in Home Telematics for property Insurance carriers and creator of the Roost Smart Battery and the Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector solutions.

Baker Botts advises Aviva Ventures, Aviva’s Corporate Venturing arm, on deals in the United Kingdom and the United States.

Trowers advises creative start-up Easle.co on major funding deal

Trowers & Hamlins has advised start up online creative platform Easle, on their seed funding deal with creative heavyweights ustwo as lead investor.

Easle will use the funding to expand the platform to include Graphic Design, Animation, Photography and Videography, build an app and further develop their offering. Over time, Easle aims to provide tools to support its customers and creator’s day to day working lifestyle such as managing finances and accounts, as well as more specific tools to assist with flexible working.

Taylor Wessing advises Ieso Digital Health on £18m funding round

Taylor Wessing has advised Ieso Digital Health, the UK’s largest provider of online mental healthcare, on its £18m funding from Draper Esprit and Touchstone Innovations, to accelerate growth in its home market and the commercialisation of its transformative technology platform in the US.

The funding is Europe’s largest investment in online evidence-based behavioural health, and was jointly led by VC firm Draper Esprit and existing investor Touchstone Innovations.

TLT has advised Guinness Asset Management on its investment in one of the UK's first solar-plus-battery storage projects.

The battery project was developed and will be built and maintained by Nottingham-based EvoEnergy. The project will see a Tesla battery added to one of the UK's largest rooftop solar installations at the Telford distribution centre of office supplies company Lyreco, which was also developed by EvoEnergy and is owned by funds managed by Guinness Asset Management.

The 500kW/950kWh Tesla system will be connected to the 3.8MWp solar array, enabling Lyreco to reduce energy costs and increase the site’s energy efficiency.

Hill Dickinson corporate team advises Downing in securing £439m new investment in student housing joint venture

Hill Dickinson’s corporate and banking teams have advised Liverpool head-quartered developer-operator Downing in connection with securing a £439m investment from an opportunity fund as part of a student housing joint venture.

European Property Investors Special Opportunities IV (EPISO 4), a fund advised by Tristan Capital, has agreed to acquire a 90% stake worth £439m in the joint venture, which owns a 2,756-bed portfolio of six halls in some of the most prestigious university cities across the UK.

Osborne Clarke advises Solarplicity on £160M investment to save up to 800,000 low-income households £192M a year in energy bills

Osborne Clarke has advised leading renewable energy supplier Solarplicity, on a £160M investment by Dutch investors Maas Capital (part of the ABN AMRO Bank), which was secured thanks to support from Department for International Trade (DIT).
