HAL invests in Dutch Mortgage Funding Company (DMFCO). DMFCO is active in the origination and management of Dutch mortgages under the label MUNT Hypotheken which are funded by Dutch pension funds. The revenues over 2016 amounted to € 21 million. The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM).

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised the senior management team on its investment in the management buyout of TTC Group, a leading provider of driver training courses, which has been backed by leading mid-market private equity investor, Palatine Private Equity.

Shearman & Sterling advised Eurobank Ergasias S.A. and the joint bookrunners in connection with the sale by Eurobank of 20,252,001 ordinary shares in GRIVALIA PROPERTIES Real Estate Investments Company S.A. The sale was conducted as an institutional private placement by way of an accelerated bookbuild, at a price of €8.80 per share. HSBC Bank plc, AXIA Ventures Group Ltd and Eurobank Equities Investment Firm S.A. acted as joint global coordinators and joint bookrunners.

Amicus receives growth capital from HBM Healthcare Investments

HBM Healthcare Investments invested EUR 20 million into the privately held and Switzerland based Amicus SA. The financing will allow Amicus to accelerate the growth of its pharmaceutical business in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Walder Wyss acted as advisor in all legal aspects of the transaction. The team was led by Markus Vischer (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and further included Christian Hagen (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Samuel Lieberherr (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Thomas Meister (Partner, Tax) and Christoph Stutz (Associate, Employment).

Hogan Lovells advised on all aspects of NDIF's launch, covering structuring, regulation and tax advice, as well as leading negotiations with the UK Government, which has invested £150 million in NDIF on a matched basis.

DLA Piper represented AEye Inc., a developer and provider of advanced vision hardware, software and algorithms that act as the eyes and visual cortex of autonomous vehicles, in its US$16 million Series A funding round from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Airbus Ventures, Intel Capital, R7 Partners, Trucks Venture Capital and Tyche Partners, among other investors. 

Founded in 2013, AEye created an advanced sensory system using its solid state LiDAR scanner to provide autonomous vehicles with better vision intelligence.

Clifford Chance has advised EMH Partners on the successful closing of the EMH Digital Growth Fund. With a size of EUR 350 million, the Fund reached its hard cap and is one of the largest funds in the European growth segment.

The Fund targets growth-stage mid-market companies from various industries in Europe, with a particular focus on the DACH region. EMH's focus is on supporting the digitalization of the German Mittelstand.
