    the set-up of a joint venture - Red Wind - between the Dutch wind turbine manufacturer Lagerwey and NovaWind to supply 388 wind turbines to Rosatom's subsidiary VetroSGC by 2022
    the conclusion of a Wind turbine technology licensing agreement, under which Lagerwey  provides technology and expertise in 2.5MW and 4.5MW turbines for the joint venture
    the conclusion of a components supply agreement, for the supply by Lagerwey of the first 60 wind turbines

Debevoise Advises AIA in the Long-term Extension of its Bancassurance Partnership with Public Bank

The Hong Kong office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP has advised AIA Group on the 15-year extension of its exclusive regional bancassurance agreement with Public Bank, extending the partnership to 2037.

Baker McKenzie has advised CASINO, a long-standing player in the French retail market and one of the global leaders in food trade, in the creation of the joint venture CD SUPPLY INNOVATION by CASINO and DIA.

This new entity will gather the two partners’ retail brand expertise as well as their experience in logistics and supply management. It will be in charge of purchasing retail brand and low-price goods for the two groups, however only for a part of their suppliers and while preserving their commercial and operational independence.

Kirkland & Ellis advised a consortium comprised of funds affiliated with FountainVest Partners and Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on its investment partnership with the Pure Group (Pure).

Pure is Asia’s leading premium lifestyle brand that includes Pure Yoga, MyPureYoga.com, Pure Fitness, Pure Apparel and nood food which provides a wide variety of yoga and meditation classes and private yoga programs. Founded in 2002, Pure serves around 80,000 customers with more than 1,900 employees across centres in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and New York.

CMS advises on landmark transaction which brings P&O Maritime to Ukraine for the first time

CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang in Kyiv is pleased to announce that it has advised SD Capital on the English and Ukrainian law aspects of a joint venture transaction which brings P&O Maritime (owned by DP World Group - one of the worlds’ largest port operators) to Ukraine for the first time. As part of the transaction, P&O acquired control over the Ukrainian harbour towage company LB Shipping. The joint venture will provide towage services in Ukraine’s Black Sea port of Yuzhnyi.
