Nexity and Morning Coworking (BAP Group) announced their development of closer ties to strengthen and develop their place in the co-working market. Profitable since its creation, Morning Coworking hopes to accelerate its growth in ÎIe-de-France: forging a partnership with Nexity, the first platform in real estate services, will allow Morning Coworking to expand its deployment to maintain leadership in a high growth, but very competitive, market.

White & Case Advises Orange on French Home Telesurveillance Partnership with Groupama

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Orange, one of the world's leading telecommunications operators, on its partnership with French insurance group Groupama in the French home telesurveillance sector and the establishment, for that purpose, of a joint company named Protectline.

Protectline is a joint platform for the operation and management of home telesurveillance services. Orange holds 51 percent of the company's capital and Groupama holds the remaining 49 percent.

Ropes & Gray Advises APG on its JV Investment in New €700 Million Residential Platform in Ireland

Ropes & Gray has advised Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management on expanding its Irish joint venture with the US-based Hines Group to establish a new platform to invest in the development of residential led, mixed use schemes across the greater Dublin area. The parties intend the additional total equity and debt commitments to reach c. €700 million.

Slaughter and May, Hong Kong is advising Swire Beverages Holdings Limited (SBHL) on its proposed joint venture with ALBA Group Asia Limited (ALBA) and Baguio Waste Management & Recycling Limited (Baguio) to build and operate Hong Kong’s first dedicated PET and HDPE recycling facility. The mechanical recycling facility is intended to be built on T6, a plot within the EcoPark in Hong Kong.

A&L Goodbody advises Parkwind NV on its joint venture arrangements with ESB

In a significant vote of confidence for the Irish offshore wind industry, Parkwind and ESB have agreed to co-develop the proposed 330MW Oriel offshore wind project and the proposed 500MW Clogherhead project, each to be located off the north east coast of Ireland. Partners John Dallas and Richard Grey advised Parkwind on the transaction.

MinterEllison has acted for SPH REIT Management Pte. Ltd. in its capacity as the Manager of SPH REIT (SPH REIT) and several entities managed by the asset management division of Moelis Australia Limited (“Moelis Australia Asset Management”) on its joint venture acquisition of an 100% interest in Figtree Grove Shopping Centre in NSW.

Figtree Grove Shopping Centre is an established sub-regional shopping centre in the Illawarra region south of Sydney, NSW, and the acquisition enhances SPH REIT's portfolio through geographical diversification.

KWM advises Brookfield on strategic partnership with AT&T

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) has advised Brookfield Infrastructure on its purchase of AT&T’s global data centre colocation operations in conjunction with King & Spalding LLP. The transaction, valued at $1.1 billion, includes 31 data centres across 5 continents.

The centres will be operated by a newly created and wholly owned subsidiary of Brookfield, Evoque Data Center Solutions, which will now provide colocation services to more than 1,000 business customers, in partnership with AT&T’s wider enterprise offering.

WFW advises Rheinmetall on UK-based land systems joint venture with BAE

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Germany’s Rheinmetall AG (“Rheinmetall”) on its new joint venture (“JV”) agreement with BAE Systems (“BAE”) to create a joint UK-based military vehicle design, manufacturing and support business. The establishment of the JV is subject to regulatory approvals which are expected to be completed in H1 2019.

Ropes & Gray advised biopharmaceutical firm CANbridge Pharmaceuticals Inc. in an exclusive licensing agreement in China with GC Pharma, a South Korea-based company and one of the world’s largest protein products manufacturers, to commercialize Hunterase, a human recombinant iduronate-2 –sulfatase enzyme replacement therapy for the treatment of Hunter syndrome. The deal was announced on Jan 7.

CMS advises elderly care specialist Axion on care home portfolio transaction and formation of joint venture with Orpea

Cologne – Axion Holding GmbH, a Hamburg-based specialist in advising on, operating and managing properties for senior citizens, has sold seven existing care homes to three companies belonging to the Orpea Group of France. In addition, the Orpea Group will operate a joint venture for premium residential retirement accommodation together with Axion founder Nikolaos Tavridis.
