Trowers & Hamlins advises on Joint Venture deal with Peabody

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins is advising Housebuilder Hill on their joint venture with Peabody for two East London projects, with a combined value of over £350m.

Peabody has put its Fish Island Village site into the scheme and Hill have contributed their Lea Bridge Road development in Leyton together bringing nearly 900 new homes.

The firm advised Hill on the initial site acquisition and funding and subsequent joint venture with Peabody. The project also involved two separate affordable housing transactions and tax structuring by Trowers.

Trowers & Hamlins advises the Hyde Group on joint venture deal with Barratt London

International law firm Trowers & Hamlins is advising housing association the Hyde Group on their strategic joint venture with Barratt London, for the development of 1,150 homes in Harrow.

Harrow View East is a 30-acre site within the ‘Heart of Harrow’, which the council has identified as a key area for the regeneration of the borough. Formerly Kodak Industrial Complex, the site already has outline planning permission for a large-scale development.

 The German retailers real,- (a distribution chain of METRO Group), Bartels-Langness, Bünting, NETTO ApS, Klaas & Kock, and Georg Jos. Kaes have founded the "RTG Retail Trade Group" with the purpose of bundling central functions. Under the umbrella of this mutual joint venture, the joint purchasing of food, non-food and ultra-fresh products will be combined as well as other functions. METRO Cash & Carry Germany will also pool purchasing volume through the Retail Trade Group.

Hannes Snellman acted as counsel to Oriola Oyj in a 50/50 percent joint venture with Kesko Oyj to establish a chain of health, beauty and wellbeing stores across Finland, with the plan to expand the business to include pharmaceuticals if the legislation is amended.

NETTO ApS establishes joint venture in food retailing sector assisted by Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek

NETTO ApS formed the "RTG Retail Trade Group" joint venture with real,-, Bartels-Langness, Bünting, Klaas & Kock, and Georg Jos. Kaes effective April 3, 2017. Dr. Christoph Froning, LL.M. and Dr. Stefan Bretthauer from Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek’s Hamburg office comprehensively advised NETTO ApS throughout the process. The Hamburg-based joint venture is intended to strengthen the competitiveness of the six food retail companies on the procurement markets.
 

Noerr advises Kieser Training on joint venture in China

Noerr has advised Kieser Training AG on setting up a joint venture together with the Chinese project developer EuroSinoInvest (ESI). This joint venture marks Kieser’s entry to the Chinese market. The first Kieser training studio in China is soon to open in Beijing, and another 20 studios will be established in the Chinese market in the next three to five years.

Kieser Training, which focusses on health-oriented fitness training, currently operates 138 training studios in Australia, Germany, Luxemburg, Austria and Switzerland, either itself or as a franchisor.
