Fortress Paper sells and conducts leaseback transaction of Landqart Mill

Leading global law Firm Baker & McKenzie has provided legal assistance to the purchase agreement and leaseback transaction of Landqart AG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fortress Paper Ltd. for the sale of its lands and buildings in Landquart, Switzerland, to GAM Investment Management AG on behalf of Procimmo Swiss Commercial Fund II Switzerland, for the aggregate purchase price of CHF 44,500,000.

AG advises on Wrexham Football Club Stadium lease

AG's Manchester and Leeds Business Support and Restructuring team have completed a deal on behalf of Wrexham Glyndwr University which saw Wrexham Football Club take a long lease of its home stadium the Racecourse Ground.

The deal relieves the University from the substantial financial burden of running and maintaining the ground, and creates a healthy income stream for the University moving forward. It also gives certainty to the Football Club in terms of its own football and business operation.

Dentons advises MEININGER on a hotel development in Leipzig

Berlin—Global law firm Dentons advised MEININGER Holding GmbH regarding the conclusion of a lease for a hotel in the old town of Leipzig. The hotel was formerly leased by Accor Group under the brand Ibis Leipzig City. Altogether, the object has a floor area of more than 4,000 square meters. It will reopen, after a renovation at the beginning of next year, with a total of 126 rooms and more than 400 beds.

Setterwalls has advised Kista Hotel Apartments in connection with establishment, financing and signing of a 20-year lease agreement with Kungsleden for a new apartment hotel in Kista Science City with approximately 170 rooms that amount to 6,000 square meters. Ashurst advises on A$150m sale of Art Series Hotels

Ashurst has advised M&G Asia Property Fund, a major Asian property investor based in Singapore, on the acquisition and leaseback of two boutique "Art Series" hotels located in Melbourne (known as "The Cullen" and "The Olsen"), with a deal value of approximately A$150 million. 

The Cullen on Prahran's Commercial Road and The Olsen on South Yarra's Chapel Street have 343 hotel suites between the two, and generate an initial base rent of $10.8m a year with other facilities including 1565m in retail space and basement parking for 123 cars.
