KKR Acquires Stake in Söderberg & Partners From TA Associates

Paul, Weiss advised KKR in its acquisition of a stake in Söderberg & Partners from TA Associates and certain other selling shareholders. Söderberg & Partners is a leading non-bank provider of wealth management and corporate pension and insurance services in the Nordic region and the Netherlands. The transaction is subject to ordinary conditions to closing and is expected to be completed during the second quarter of 2019.

WFW advises Coro on acquisition of interest in Duyung Production Sharing Contract in Indonesia

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised AIM-listed E&P company Coro Energy Plc (“Coro”) on its acquisition of an interest in the Duyung Production Sharing Contract (“Duyung PSC”) in the West Natuna basin, offshore Indonesia, which contains the shallow water Mako gas field.

Avison Young's acquisition of one of the UK's leading and most diverse real estate advisory-led businesses from Apleona Group GmbH (“Apleona”), a portfolio company owned by global private-equity firm EQT, completed on Thursday, 31 January 2019.

Effective immediately, the two companies will combine under one unified brand: Avison Young.

Slaughter and May advised Bridgepoint on the acquisition of Miya from Arison Investments

Slaughter and May advised Bridgepoint, in conjunction with Uría Menéndez, on the English law aspects of its acquisition of Miya from the business arm of Arison Group. The acquisition of Miya marks the first investment made by Bridgepoint Europe VI, a EUR5.7 billion middle market buyout fund.

Berlin – Russian insurer SPAO RESO-Garantia has acquired ERGO Insurance Company Ltd., a Russian subsidiary of the ERGO Group, from ERGO International AG. The deal involves SPAO RESO-Garantia acquiring the ERGO Non-Life business in Russia, including the customer portfolio, staff and the IT systems. The acquisition is part of SPAO RESO-Garantia’s growth strategy, which includes expanding the motor insurance portfolio and maximising cost synergies. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

Dentons advises leading Georgian online betting and gaming company Adjarabet on its acquisition by Paddy Power Betfair

London—Dentons has advised City Loft LLC, the owner of Adjarabet, the market leader in online betting and gaming in the regulated market in Georgia, on Adjarabet’s £101 million acquisition by Paddy Power Betfair plc of an initial 51% controlling stake.

Adjarabet is licensed to offer a full suite of online betting and gaming products in Georgia including casino, sports, poker and peer-to-peer games. During 2017, the business also launched in the regulated Armenian online market.

Kirkland Advises C.H. Guenther & Son on Acquisition of Wback

Kirkland & Ellis advised C.H. Guenther & Son LLG (CHG) on the acquisition of Wback GmbH (Wback) from German mid-market investor Halder. Headquartered in Bönen, Germany, Wback is one of the most modern large-scale bakeries for soft rolls in Europe. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Founded in 2003, Wback supplies leading quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and food retailers from its two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Bönen and Leipheim, Germany.
