JEANTET ADVISED GENES DIFFUSION IMMOBILIERE ET FINANCIERE IN THE ACQUISITION OF EUROGEN

Jeantet advised Genes Diffusion Immobiliere et Financiere on the acquisition of a 51% interest in Eurogen, a specialist in freezing and distribution of equine semen in France.

Jeantet's team consisted of Philippe Portier, Partner (Corporate-Finance team), Guillaume Fornier and Solene Thomas, Associates (Corporate-Finance team).

The sellers were advised by InExtenso with Yves Mercier and Guillaume Legue

Debevoise Advises AIG on $5.56 Billion Acquisition of Validus Group

Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising American International Group on the acquisition of the Validus Group, a leading provider of reinsurance, primary insurance and asset management services. The transaction is expected to close mid-2018.

Holders of Validus common shares will receive cash consideration of $68.00 per share, for an aggregate transaction value of $5.56 billion, funded by cash on hand.

TLT advises Wealth Club on Clubfinance acquisition

TLT has advised Wealth Club, an investment service for high net worth and experienced investors, on its acquisition of execution-only discount broker Clubfinance. The deal will form what is believed to be the UK’s largest investment platform of its kind.
Clubfinance offers enterprise investment scheme (EIS), venture capital trust (VCT), investment, pension and stock-broking intermediation services. The acquisition supports Wealth Club's aim of creating the leading specialist broking platform for tax-advantaged investment.

Simmons & Simmons advises Franklin Templeton on its acquisition of Edinburgh Partners

The firm has advised Franklin Templeton Investments on the acquisition of independent fund manager Edinburgh Partners, which is headed up by Dr Sandy Nairn, former director of research at Templeton Global Equity Group. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018. The terms of the transaction are confidential.

DLA Piper advises ASC Investment on the acquisition of VITRABLOC

DLA Piper has advised Luxembourg-based private equity firm ASC Investment on the acquisition and the financing of VITRABLOK a specialist glass block manufacturer. This is the first acquisition for ASC Investment.

VITRABLOK was part of the SEVES Group, a Triton Fund III company. With more than 300 employees in Europe and the USA, VITRABLOK has a 40% share in the world glass block market. It is the leading manufacturer of glass bricks for interior and exterior architectural applications.

Sika acquires majority stake in Index Construction Systems and Products

Baker McKenzie has assisted Sika AG, a leader multinational in the development and production of specialty chemicals in the building sector and automotive industry, in the acquisition of majority stake in Index Construction Systems and Products S.p.A., a leading manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing systems headquartered close to Verona, Italy.

Baker McKenzie assisted Sika with a team led by partner Alberto Fornari and with the assistance of counsel Chiara Marinozzi.

CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats advises the NSIA group on the takeover of Diamond Bank SA.

The Africa team of CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats advised the NSIA group, a major player in insurance in Sub-Saharan Africa (around 20 life and non-life subsidiaries in more than a dozen African countries) as well as in banking (two banking subsidiaries in Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea), on the takeover of Diamond Bank SA, the Beninese banking subsidiary of the Nigerian Diamond Bank Plc group and its three banks in Senegal, Togo and Côte d’Ivoire (with total assets of more than €600 million).

White & Case Advises WernerCo on Acquisition of ZARGES Group

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised WernerCo, a Triton IV fund company, on its acquisition of ZARGES Group (ZARGES).

The seller is a consortium consisting of funds managed by Baird Capital and Granville, VR Equitypartner and the management team ZARGES. The acquisition enhances WernerCo's position as a market leader for industrial climbing products and storage and transport containers in Europe. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
