Clifford Chance advises private equity firm OpCapita on its acquisition of a majority stake in US retailer Maurices

Clifford Chance is advising OpCapita, a private equity firm, on its acquisition of a majority stake in women's clothing retailer Maurices Inc., from its parent company, Ascena Retail Group, Inc., a US public company. Maurices is a specialty retailer focused on women’s value apparel operating stores across the US and Canada. Ascena Retail Group owns other women's clothing retailers, including Ann Inc. (operator of Ann Taylor and Loft), Justice, Lane Bryant, Catherines and Dressbarn.

Roper Technologies to acquire Foundry for £410 million (US$543.4 million)

We acted for Fane Valley Co-operative Society in its acquisition of Silver Hill Foods Unlimited Company, a duck producer based in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan.

Silver Hill employs over 200 people and it owns and controls all aspects of its duck production business, from breeding, egg production, hatching and selection to processing, cooking and packaging. Fane Valley’s plans for future investment in Silver Hill will enable the business to expand its production facilities in Monaghan to meet growing demand, particularly in Asian markets.
