Gide advises U.S. group Joy Global on the acquisition of Montabert SAS

Gide advised Joy Global Inc., a U.S. corporation listed on the NYSE and world leader in high-productivity mining solutions, on the acquisition from South-Korean group Doosan, advised by Eversheds, of Montabert SAS, a company specialised in hydraulic breaking and drilling equipment for public works, mining and quarrying professionals. The acquisition was completed for 110 million euros.

The Gide team comprised partner Christophe Eck and Christophe Monnet on M&A aspects and Jerome Debost on employment law aspects.

Norton Rose Fulbright has been advising Abris Capital Partners on the acquisition of 100 per cent of shares in Graf-Poz, a Polish premium cardboard packaging manufacturer. Abris acquired all the shares in Graf-Poz through CLRD Investments S.A.

Abris Capital Partners is an independent private equity fund management company that focuses on investment opportunities in medium-sized undertakings in the CEE region.

Noerr has advised Deutsche Annington Immobilien SE on the agreement of a takeover of the SÜDEWO Group. With some 19,800 flats, SÜDEWO is one of the largest portfolio holders in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The volume of the transaction is € 1.9 billion. Noerr has advised the private equity investor American Industrial Partners (AIP) on the acquisition of the German OEM fasteners division of Anixter. The total volume of the global transaction is USD 380 million.

Anixter is one of the world’s leading providers of products in the fields of data communication and security solutions, cable, as well as fasteners and small parts. With a workforce of 9,100, the company achieved revenues of USD 6.4 billion in 2014. In Germany Anixter operates at two locations.

Ashurst has advised Alberta Investment Management Corporation ("AIMCo"), one of Canada's largest and most diversified institutional investment managers, as co-investor alongside OMERS Private Equity on the acquisition of Environmental Resources Management ("ERM"), from Charterhouse Capital Partners for an enterprise value of US$1.7bn. A definitive Agreement was signed on 12 June 2015.
