WFW advises Econnext on acquisition of majority stake in Autarq

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Econnext GmbH (“Econnext”, formerly Econnoa GmbH) on the acquisition of a majority stake in Autarq GmbH (“Autarq”) by way of a capital increase in the latter. The purchase price is confidential.

Headquartered in Prenzlau (Federal State of Brandenburg, Germany), Autarq manufactures solar roof tiles for both commercial and residential properties, as well as self-contained power generation systems.

Shoosmiths advises CDC Group on its investment into Bangladesh manufacturing company

Shoosmiths has advised the UK's development finance institution CDC Group on its $15 million investment into RFL Electronics Ltd, which will grow the Bangladeshi company's manufacturing capacity.

The funding will be used to acquire specialist equipment for RFL Electronics' state-of-the-art facility, in Narsingdi, which produces consumer electronic goods for the local market.

CDC is investing alongside Standard Chartered Bangladesh, which is providing a further $3 million.

Osborne Clarke advises EQT Ventures on €12.5m equity investment in Tinyclues SAS

International legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised international venture capital fund, EQT Ventures on its €12.5m equity investment in French company, Tinyclues SAS.

Tinyclues SAS provides an AI marketing campaign solution for businesses across Europe and the United States. Additional co-investors in the company include ISAI Développement, Elaia Alpha Fund and Alven Capital.

Osborne Clarke advises Inventure Fund III Ky on SEK 6M equity investment in Stravito AB

Osborne Clarke has advised Finnish venture capital fund, Inventure Fund III Ky on its SEK 6 million equity investment in Swedish company, Stravito AB.

Stravito AB provides an integrated market research solution for businesses across Europe. Co-investors in the company include Creades (publ.) AB.

Partner Mikael Moreira and Associate Kim Bergman from Osborne Clarke’s Stockholm office advised on the transaction.

Clyde & Co advises OxSyBio Limited on life sciences research funding round

Clyde & Co has advised OxSyBio Limited, a UK-based 3D bioprinting developer, on a multimillion funding round securing funds from investors including Parkwalk Advisors, owned by the firm IP Group.

OxSyBio, founded in 2014, develops 3D printing techniques to produce a range of tissue-like materials and functional tissues for medical research and clinical applications. So far, OxSyBio has developed a 3D-printing technique capable of producing human cell-like structures and long-term they hope to refine the technology to offer organ repair and replacement capabilities.

Clifford Chance advises Carrefour on the acquisition of the start-up Quitoque

Carrefour announced that it has acquired a majority stake in the start-up Quitoque, one of the French pioneers in Foodtech.

Created in 2014, Quitoque is the French leader in home-delivered meal kits. The company, which has 60 employees, delivered nearly 3 million meals throughout France in 2017.

This investment, which allows Carrefour to expand its food e-commerce offering, is fully in line with the group’s ambition of creating a benchmark omnichannel model and of becoming the world leader in the food transition for all.

White & Case Advises Nordic Capital on Acquisition of Ober Scharrer Group

Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised Nordic Capital Fund IX (Nordic Capital) on the acquisition of Ober Scharrer Gruppe GmbH (OSG), one of Germany's leading providers of ophthalmology products.

The seller is Palamon Capital Partners, a London-based private equity firm. The parties have agreed not to disclose financial details. The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.

Ashurst advises OMV on acquisition of Shell's Upstream business in New Zealand for US$578 million

Ashurst is advising OMV, the international integrated oil and gas company based in Vienna, on the acquisition of Shell's Upstream business in New Zealand for US$578 million. The assets comprise joint venture interests in Pohokura (48%), the largest gas producing field in New Zealand, and Maui (83.75%), as well as related infrastructure for production, storage and transportation.
