Osborne Clarke advises LDC and the Ministry of Cake senior management team on its sale to Mademoiselle Desserts

A cross-border corporate team from international legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised leading mid-market private equity house LDC and the management team of Ministry of Cake on its sale to Mademoiselle Desserts.

In May 2014, Osborne Clarke advised LDC on its investment in Ministry of Cakes through an £11m management buyout which saw its Chief Executive Chris Ormrod take the reins of the leading manufacturer of UK-produced hand finished cakes, puddings and desserts.

Kirkland & Ellis Advises Summit Partners on Sale of Peak Well Systems

Kirkland & Ellis advised growth equity firm Summit Partners on its sale of Peak Well Systems, a leading specialist in the development of well intervention solutions, to Schlumbeger, the world's largest oilfield services company. Marken sold to UPS

Jones Day advised Marken Group, a global provider of supply chain solutions to the life sciences industry and leader in clinical trials material storage and distribution, on the sale of its company to United Parcel Service Inc. ("UPS"). Marken will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, allowing Marken to access UPS's integrated global supply network and logistics capabilities.

Travers Smith LLP has advised the trustee of the Guilbert UK Retirement Benefits Plan in relation to the sale by Office Depot, Inc. of its European business to The AURELIUS Group.  Office Depot, Inc. is a leading global provider of office supplies and services.

The division employs more than 20,000 people in four companies - Adrexo, Advertising Productions, Advertising Services, and CIP.

Houthoff advised Bank Insinger de Beaufort in the proces whereby Bank Insinger de Beaufort was acquired by KBL European Private Bankers. KBL intends to merge Bank Insinger de Beaufort with its subsidiary Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers. The merger will create a new private bank with more than EUR 20 billion of assets under management.
