DWF advises on the sale of Synergie Group Limited to Motor Fuel Limited

DWF has advised the shareholders of Bolton-based forecourt operator, Synergie Group Limited on their sale of Synergie to Motor Fuel Group (MFG), a top 50 Indies forecourt operator.

Synergie has 19 forecourts in the North West of England with many of them offering strong convenience and ‘food to go’ offers.

This acquisition by MFG will bring the total number of stations they own to 395, making them the second largest independent forecourt operator in the UK.

Pinsent Masons advises KPMG on speedy sale of Ed's Easy Diner to new Giraffe Restaurant owners

International law firm Pinsent Masons has advised administrators KPMG on the sale of fast food burger chain Ed's Easy Diner to Giraffe, via an out of hours court appointment of KPMG as administrators.

Rob Croxen and Blair Nimmo of KPMG were appointed as joint administrators over Ed's Easy Diner, Ed's Easy Diner Holdings and Ed's Easy Diner Overseas and immediately carried out a pre-packaged sale of the business and assets to the restaurant operator Giraffe, owned by Ranjit Boparan, helping preserve over 700 jobs.

Charles Russell Speechlys advises on sale of Alphr Technology to Indutrade

Charles Russell Speechlys has acted for the shareholders on the sale of Alphr Technology to Indutrade AB (publ), a company listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.

Alphr Technology designs and manufactures customized equipment for manual and automated production lines. Their portfolio extends from simple mechanical Poka-yoke assembly stations to semi-automatic assembly and test stations, robotic manufacturing cells, rotary machines and even fully automated palletized production lines. Customers are primarily in the automotive industry, and 75% of sales are exported.

Pinsent Masons advises Teva on £603 million sale of Actavis’ UK and Ireland generics business

International law firm Pinsent Masons advised Teva Pharmaceuticals on its agreement to sell the assets and operations of Actavis in the UK and Ireland to Accord Healthcare Limited (a subsidiary of Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd) for £603 million, subject to final approval from the European Commission.

Israel-headquartered Teva is a leading global pharmaceutical company and the world’s largest generic medicines producer, whose generic portfolio covers nearly every therapeutic area.

Norton Rose Fulbright acts in cloud driven rooftop solar and storage sale

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised solar and storage technology company Redback Technologies on the sale of a stake to major energy company EnergyAustralia (which is owned by CLP).

The deal, valued at AU$9.3 million, will enable EnergyAustralia to offer customers access to the smart solar inverter with its cloud based software that enables smart energy usage. The investment will support Redback’s development and release of new products.
