Olswang advises on sale of Napier Turbochargers

Olswang has advised the shareholders of Napier Turbochargers, including independent private equity firm Primary Capital Limited, on the sale of Napier to New York Stock Exchange listed Wabtec Corporation.

Napier is one of the largest independent manufacturers in the world of large axial turbochargers for use in the marine and power generation industries.  It manufactures turbochargers for diesel, heavy fuel, dual fuel and gas engines in the 0.5MW-20MW power range as well as providing related spares and aftermarket services to its substantial installed base. 

HFW plays lead role in Bumi plc deal

A large multi-office team from Holman Fenwick Willan (HFW), led by Brian Gordon in Singapore, and James Lewis and Nick Hutton in London, with support from Robert Finney and Steven Paull, recently acted for Indonesian client Recapital Investment Group in relation to the disposal of its entire shareholding in Bumi plc, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange. The transaction involved the sale of 24.2m shares with a market value of over £90m.

Norton Rose advises MOTION TM on sale of a 51% participation to freenet AG

International legal practice Norton Rose has advised the shareholders of MOTION TM Vertriebs GmbH based in Troisdorf on the sale of a 51% interest of the company to mobilcom-debitel GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of freenet AG. The sale price remains confidential. The majority participation is still subject to the usual anti-trust approval.

Travers Smith advises Equistone Partners Europe Limited on sale of Hydrasun Holdings Limited

A Travers Smith team headed by Paul Dolman has advised Equistone Partners Europe Limited ("Equistone") and other selling shareholders on the sale of Hydrasun Holdings Limited ("Hydrasun") to Investcorp for an undisclosed sum. Completion of the transaction remains subject to competition clearances.

Equistone is an independent investment firm owned and managed by the former executives of Barclays Private Equity. With operations in France, Germany, Switzerland and the UK, Equistone invests in strategic businesses as a partner alongside management teams.

Ashurst advised Corpus Sireo on winning Treveria asset management mandate

Ashurst advised Corpus Sireo Asset Management Commercial GmbH (Corpus Sireo) on taking on the asset management for nearly the entire "Treveria Silo E" commercial real estate portfolio. Corpus Sireo took on the mandate on behalf of insolvency administrator Ottmar Hermann and in co-ordination with special servicer Hatfield Philips International Ltd..

Wragge & Co advises CBPE Capital on the £183 million sale of Rosemont Pharmaceuticals

Wragge & Co's corporate specialists have completed a £183 million deal for longstanding client CBPE Capital LLP. A team led by London corporate partner Andy Stylianou advised the mid-market private equity firm on its sale of Rosemont Pharmaceuticals, having previously acted on CBPE's £93 million acquisition of Rosemont in August 2006.

Speechly Bircham is delighted to have acted as the legal adviser to the independent board of Northacre plc in relation to the offer by Spadille Limited for Northacre's entire issued share capital valuing the company at £25.65m.

Spadille is a wholly owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Management LLC, an alternative investment firm based in the United Arab Emirates.  Northacre is a leading developer of high-end residential properties and its current flagship development is The Lancasters, Hyde Park.
