23 Feb 2018

Alpha Industrial Holding SA and other vendors have sold a portfolio of logistics properties to Frasers Property Investments. The transaction is worth a total of around EUR 600 million.

The Singapore-based investor is acquiring 16 existing properties in Germany and Austria with a gross rental area of approximately 394,000 square metres, plus 6 development projects comprising 162,500 square metres of rental space. Project development and asset management subsidiary Alpha Industrial GmbH & Co. KG was also sold to Frasers Property Investments.

A team from CMS Germany led by partners Heinrich Schirmer, Johanna Hofmann and Dr Oliver Wolfgramm advised Alpha Industrial on all legal aspects of the transaction.

Alpha Industrial develops, acquires and manages commercial, logistics and service real estate. The company is one of Europe’s largest project developers. Going forward, it intends to concentrate on establishing a multi-family office focusing on real estate.

Frasers Property Investments is a multinational group headquartered in Singapore. The investor plans to use the acquisition to expand its European logistics holdings. Following this purchase, the investor’s European portfolio amounts to 1.3 million square metres of rental space.
