Mishcon de Reya has advised British sportswear brand Castore on its sponsorship deal with Andy Murray. Castore will give Andy Murray outfits for on-court and off-court future appearances.
Andy Murray has been quoted in the media, saying:
"As my next kit partnership will potentially be the last one I want to wear the very best products".
"I've been testing a range of different kit including Castore, the British sportswear brand, and really like their stuff. I am a fan of the Castore brand and have been following their progress for some time. We have been discussing potential opportunities to work together, and I will be wearing Castore for Australia and remaining on court appearances as I have been so impressed by their quality from my testing in training.”
Mishcon de Reya Associate Anne Rose, who has been advising Castore with Partner Lewis Cohen, said:
“Andy Murray is the most successful British tennis player in history. The fact that he has chosen to wear Castore garments for the remainder of his playing career underscores the calibre of Castore products and its global potential to be the natural brand of choice for discerning athletes. Sponsorship deals like this see athletes and brands linking their reputations to each other. As such, it is important that the values of both athlete and brand are aligned and that sponsorship deals are robust and well thought through."
