Allen & Overy LLP advises Lei Shing Hong Limited, Hong Kong, on the acquisition of the East German Mercedes sales network from Daimler Group.

In addition to other business activities, the Lei Shing Hong Group operates the largest dealer network for Mercedes-Benz automobiles in the world. After having already acquired Russ & Janot GmbH in Erfurt, the leading Mercedes dealer in Thuringia, from Daimler Group earlier in the year, Lei Shing Hong now follows up with 15 additional sites in the regions of Dresden, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Rostock and Schwerin with a total of more than 1,000 employees. By acquiring the East German sales network from Daimler, Lei Shing Hong becomes the leading Mercedes dealer in Germany. The consummation of the transaction is yet to be cleared by the competent cartel authorities.
