Allen & Overy has advised Rexam Plc, one of the leading groups in the packaging of consumer products (annual turnover of GBP 4.9 billion) on the sale of its "personal care" division to Albea, a subsidiary of Sun European Partners.
The "personal care" division produces plastic packaging for cosmetics and personal hygiene. It is one of the market leading manufactureres of pumps for perfumes and lotions as well as the packaging for perfume and cosmetic creams. It employs 6,500 people at 11 production sites in Europe (5 in France), the Americas and Asia.
