AMCS Group acquires Transvision

AMCS Group, the world-leading provider of recycling and waste management software & on-vehicle technology solutions, today announced its acquisition of Transvision, a provider of planning and optimisation systems for transport and distribution.

In seven years, Transvision and AMCS Group have cooperated targeting complementary market sectors and AMCS Group stood as the natural buyer of Transvision. The combination of the two groups gives each group a broader global reach. AMCS Group will provide a platform necessary for Transvision to grow internationally and Transvision will enhance AMCS Group-services and products with world-leading technology.

With the acquisition, AMCS Group will be able to gain a firm foothold on the world market, and plans to focus on international markets such as the USA, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Transvision provides systems for planning and optimisation of road-based transport. Transvision has its origins in IT development and operational analysis and is a leader within development of algorithms for optimisation to ensure efficient transport and high-quality routes. The systems solve the need for both route planning and dispatching and cover the entire spectrum from strategic, tactical, operational and real-time based planning.

AMCS Group has many years' experience in delivering services and products to the recycling and waste sector with key areas of expertise within software development & delivery, on-vehicle technology, dynamic weighbridge and project management.
