Kuoni is one of the largest tour operators in Europe and the acquisition includes Kuoni's activities in Switzerland, UK, Scandinavia / Finland and Benelux, and also the airline Novair and the resort company Playitas.

The buyer is Der Touristik, the travel division of the German retail and tourism group REWE Group.

Kuoni Group's European business has a turnover of 2 billion euros and 1.5 million customers (2014).

The team from Arntzen de Besche is led by Head of M&A Per A. Dagslet. The core team has otherwise consisted of senior lawyer Cecilie O. Lindseth, and the associates Paul A. Reinertsen, Even Naestvold and Christina Cascampas.
