Planning permission was granted on 19 January 2016 for a new 900 seat theatre within the cultural space at One Tower Bridge. We provided strategic planning advice to Berkeley Homes, which is developing One Tower bridge, and secured a variation to the Section 106 Agreement to facilitate the grant of planning permission.
Ashurst originally acted for Berkeley Homes on its joint venture with London Borough of Southwark for redevelopment proposals at Potters Fields, now re-named "One Tower Bridge" (a mixed use development adjacent to London Bridge and City Hall and comprising the mixed use development of ten blocks comprising circa 400 residential units together with affordable housing, cultural buildings and community facilities). Planning permission was granted in April 2011.
Trevor Goode and Charlie Reid advised Berkeley homes.
