Ashurst advised finance investor Equistone Partners Europe Limited ("Equistone") on the sale of German IT technology distributor Computerlinks Group ("Computerlinks") to Arrow ECS. The completion of the transaction is still subject to approval by the relevant anti-trust authorities.
The Ashurst multi-practice team was led by Frankfurt-based corporate partner Dr Benedikt von Schorlemer, who in 2008 advised Equistone (formerly Barclays Private Equity) on the public takeover of Computerlinks. Benedikt was supported by senior associates Jan Krekeler and Jan Kupfer as well as by associate Dr Kim Laura Frank (all corporate). Partner Heiko Penndorf advised on tax, while partner Dr Andreas Mauroschat advised on employment aspects.
