Ashurst advised Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, as lender and agent, and Siemens Bank GmbH as lender, on the project financing granted to Lucania Wind Energy S.r.l., recently acquired by Danish company European Energy AS. Part of the facilities were funded by KfW.

The facilities will be used for the construction of a 39 MW wind power plant in Basilicata, one of the few wind farms in Italy under construction which benefits from the incentive tariff.

Ashurst provided comprehensive assistance to the financiers, on the loan agreement, the other financing documents and the project contracts, including the construction contract and O&M agreement of the plant.

The Ashurst team based in Milan was led by partner Carloandrea Meacci, assisted by senior associate Federica Periale, who advised on the finance and project documentation, with counsel Elena Giuffrè and associate Pamela Infantino advising on administrative aspects of the matter.
