Schoenherr has advised EQT VI Limited ("EQT VI"), together with Kirkland & Ellis, London, on the sale of Automic Software GmbH ("Automic") to NASDAQ-listed CA Technologies Inc. ("CA Technologies") at an enterprise valuation of EUR 600 million. The agreement is subject to customary anti-trust clearance and the transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2017.
Automic is a leading global provider of business automation software that helps enterprises improve productivity and drive agility by automating business processes and IT infrastructure regardless of architecture, complexity and location. Headquartered in Vienna, Austria, with approximately 600 employees across Europe, North America and Asia, Automic serves a wide range of customers in the energy, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and telecommunications sectors.
EQT AB is a leading alternative investments firm with approximately EUR 30bln in raised capital across 21 funds. The buyer, CA Technologies, provides information technology management software and solutions that help organisations plan, develop, manage, and secure applications and IT infrastructure in the United States and internationally. Most of the Global Fortune 500 companies, as well as many government agencies around the world, rely on CA Technologies to help manage their increasingly dynamic and complex environments.
