Baker & McKenzie advised Air Liquide on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Optimal Medical Therapies Group (OMT), a leading German player in home healthcare services for patients in Germany suffering from chronic illnesses requiring infusion therapy. The transaction was closed at the beginning of 2015.
With this transaction Air Liquide has strengthened the development of its home healthcare activity in Germany. Air Liquide is a leading provider of infusion therapy in France and Northern Europe.
Baker & McKenzie advised Air Liquide on all relevant legal issues of the transaction with a team in Frankfurt and other Baker & McKenzie offices under the lead of Frankfurt partner Dr. Florian Kästle. At the end of 2014, the Baker team had already advised the Air Liquide-Group on the sale of its polymer technology business to the French plant engineering company Technip.

The Air Liquide Group is the world leader in gases, technologies and services for industry and health. OMT, which has 45 employees, provides home healthcare services for around 5,000 patients and generated annual revenues of 28 million euros in 2013.
